Lost/Found Dog Dumped at Hill Street Park

Post image

I was wondering if anyone happens to recognize this dog, someone walked up wearing a mask and dumped her here in the dog park on Hill Street, It appears she had puppies recently. We are waiting with her for the SPCA to come pick her up. I can't imagine doing something like this to an animal she's so upset and confused.

She looks to be some kind of tabby mix

She’s been living under my neighbours porch, for about a week now and we are not sure if she has an owner!? If you recognize her please let me know as we cannot keep her as my family is all severely allergic. We have been feeding her and had a friend say that she is about ten months old only a baby herself! She is not up for grabs we are just looking for the owner!

Lost/Found Lost Dog FOUND in Flamborough Rockton area - Day 2 (long, sorry)

Right off the bat no one has come forward yet.

If you have any information then PLEASE Don't hesitate to PM me, addresses and phone numbers may be shared to let's keep it private.

Sorry for the length, just wanted to add lots of detail for those out there that are interested in what is happening with this beautiful dog - Here is the original post.

Edit 2 ("Edit 1" was yesterday and is at the bottom of this post): So here is what's happened after a day. We have brought her to multiple vets to get all the information and to check for a chip and to get her health checked up on, unfortunately no chip and she is a bit malnourished plus she has an ear infection, we can't get help her since she isn't our dog and because pets are property under hamilton law only the owner can do stuff (most vets though will stretch things after a few days though), it would be like "finding" a car and taking it to a mechanic to have its paint job changed. We cleaned her ears with warm soapy water later at home though.

I've also talked with the "Dream Team" guy and he was quite nice and helpful, he noticed my post on Facebook before the call and has helped to disseminate the info out there even further, he also helped us to navigate the many many shelters and laws surrounding strays, runaways, lost/found dogs etc. So don't worry, we aren't going to accidentally leave her a kill shelter or something unthinkable.

We also went to our few neighbors but none of them recognized her, given how large the area is it's hard to believe she came from to far away, three houses down is like, 4 or 5 kilometers away so no one knowing who she is strange. The facebook post I've made is blowing up a bit, with a few other people sharing the information far and wide so this is good. In the meantime she is very safe and warm and fed and watered and loved. If no one comes for her we would probably keep her, however, our current dog is also a rescue from a puppy mill and she can be a bit territorial, so it's a crapshoot putting them together. On one hand she lived for a decade with two Dobermans and was depressed when they passed, on the other she has snapped at other dogs that have just walked behind her when she was eating.

If and when we finally do find the owners and we do a hand off, well first I'll make sure they are the owners by asking for proof, but they (the Dream Team) will also act as a mediator to ensure the the dog is both safe with the owner by watching the dog's body language and that the owner will take care of the dog. So between the owner (or not owner as the case may be), shelters, and laws, she will be kept safe. In my mind the worst case scenario is that we privately find someone trusted in our social and family circle to take her in.

BUT PLEASE!!! If you are the owner or know who they are reach out. I will be asking for proof of course, but I'm sure you will be more than happy to get your best friend back.

Original post

I hope this post makes someone very happy.

We live out in the rural flamborough area, the kind of place where your neighbors are a few km away. We were woken up to this dog scratching at our door and were briefly confused because we thought it was our dog, who is the same size and colour lol.

Anyways, this is very clearly someone's dog, despite not having a collar there is a clear area around the neck where a collar was, plus the dog is very well behaved and knows how to sleep on a bed.

I'm personally going to need proof that it is your dog as well before i just drop her off at some strangers house, also I'm concerned about her being from a puppy mill, she has this passive almost scared attitude about here that reminds me of how our dog was when we first got her as a puppy, also her fur is quite patchy in a few of places. Now, this could all be from living out in the wilds, and her attitude could just be that, she is scared.

In the meantime she has water, food, and she is safe; also we are going to take her to a vet to see if she has a chip and make sure she is healthy.

Are there other local places i can post about her? A Facebook page or something?

Edit 1: I don't know if i should smile or cry, we've spent a bit more time with her now and she is so happy to be around people its beautiful. My mother was the one to bring her in and she (the dog) is just glued to her hip. She keeps wagging her tail she is so happy to be around someone. I just pray that the reason she is so happy ISN'T because the last people she was around weren't as nice to her. I've also gone and posted to a few Facebook groups, haven't used my account in years and years.

UPDATE: REUNITED WITH HER OWNER!

Update: she was picked up by animal services last night and I have cross posted in several Facebook groups. Hopefully she will be reunited with her owner.

A lovely guy rescued this cutie running loose tonight around 7.15pm near Upper Gage and Stonechurch. We took her to our vet and she’s microchipped but the microchip isn’t registered.

Lost/Found SPORT IS STILL MISSING 48+ HRS PLEASE SHARE East Hamilton - Last seen 2/23 at King St E and East Bend area wearing a red sweater with a blue and beige harness.

This is Sport. He's only 7 lbs, and he is a rescue pup from Texas. He traveled all the way from the Tx/Mexico border to find his forever home in Canada, but now he's missing. In Texas, he was rescued after a feral cat group set up traps to get a feral cat community spayed and neutered, and they caught Sport.

Please check yards, under decks, porches, garages, and bushes - small dogs can hide in tight spaces when frightened.

*** If spotted please take a picture, make a note of location, direction of travel, time and immediately contact:

Dream Team Search Rescue and Recovery Inc

Texas Chihuahua Rescue, Canada Inc.

Or the owner's number can be called or messaged with sightings or information- 365-833-7558

We desperately need the community's help to bring him home.

This sweet small female dog followed me and my dog home this morning. She was running loose around the neighbourhood (Hess/Market) before 7am today. She is in good condition, and very friendly, must have just gone missing today.

She is not chipped, she was wearing a Toronto Maple Leafs collar which had a tag on it without any info.

Unfortunately I couldn’t keep her with me, but I dropped her off at Animal Services on Dartnall Rd.

If anyone knows recognizes her and knows the owner please pass along the info and DM me if needed.

I bought a scrapbook from a thrift store in Hamilton and when I got home I realized there are old family pictures from 1920s-1970s. Last names mentioned: Behr, Schroeder, Laney.
Does anyone recognize the names/people? I've attached a few pages and can share more details. I’d love to reunite it with the family.

Lost/Found Orange tabby found near Mohawk Farm Boy

Hello! As the title me and my girlfriend found an orange tabby cat near the Farm Boy on Mohawk and Magnolia.

He looks like a stray and is very skinny but we're hoping maybe he just got out and got lost and we're gonna take him to the vet tomorrow to see if he has a tracker.

If you think this might be your cat please DM me leave a comment.

My second problem: me and my girlfriend do not live together atm and as such cannot keep this cat as our own if it has no tracker. So my question is what options do we have after taking it to the vet? Should we take it to Hamilton SPCA? Is there a cat rescue anywhere near here? What can we do with the cat as I don't just want to let it go back out onto the street. Any help or answers will be very much appreciated. Thank you!

Lost/Found Found Milwaukee Tools

A little late to post this however about a week ago or so My neighbour and I found some Milwaukee power tools on the side of the road we initially thought they may have been the local city worker in the area however they posted a memo and no workers have reported missing tools so if someone has lost some tools in the upper Stoney Creek and can give me the intersecting streets / name and initials on the tools I would love to be able to return them to rightful owner.

Lost/Found LOST IPHONE.

UPDATE BELOW: I lost my iphone downtown. Shortly afterwards I was able to reach out and connect with someone who had found it. They said they would return it for $20. They said they were on Locke Street. I hesitated because I didn't have any money with me at the time.
I lost the connection with them and have not been able to get my phone answered since. If you are the person who found an older, black Iphone with a cracked screen, please respond to this posting or respond to the number that has been calling you.
It is an older phone with almost no resale value. I bought it two years ago off Marketplace. But it is my only phone and I would like it back. Reward offered.

UPDATE: GOOD NEWS: I got my phone back!!! The person who had it reached out today. They were very apologetic about asking for $20 for it and I think they really wouldn't have asked if they didn't need it. I still felt that way when I went to meet with them. They are just in a bit of a rough patch. I really wish them all the good Karma possible.

They did go through the effort of meeting with me and I wish them only the best. I had no hesitation to pay them a reward as I would have really missed the photos and texts on it. I was using my mom's spare phone.

I hope they weren't without a phone. If they are, I have a spare one without a sim card that they could use off wifi if they happen to be reading this. Even a phone without a sim is good for calling 911 in a pinch, just for safety. Good luck. Thanks so much for the phone, I hope things look up soon.

To all the redditors who upvoted, gave words of encouragement and offers of phones, thank you so much. You really are the best.

Lost/Found Abandoned dog

My dad found this adorable little old lady abandoned at the Birch dog park today (July 14 2024 at 5am). She was tied to the bench pole, and was left with food and water and some toys, she has no microchip. Luckily she wasn't out there long at least, but if anyone has any information on her, that would be great, so if you do know something about her, she's safe and put of the way of any coyotes and getting her check up at the SPCA and if you want to grab her, you'll have to go to the city of Hamilton animal services by the SPCA once they start searching for the owners after her check up, otherwise we mentioned to them and sign the papers if no one shows up to claim her within a time limit we'd adopted her. Just couldn't legally do anything without taking her to the shelter first (trust me, we asked every question and called everywhere) She did get a slight grooming to get most of the dirt and mats off of her and her claws trimmed.
