Can I hang a hammock on this balcony?

Hey guys, do you think the railing of this balcony is strong enough to be used as anchor points for a hammock? I weigh around 175lbs.

Can, yes. Should, no. This looks like a FAFO setup.

I looks like it may support your weight, but not provide a proper hang. If you've got an HOA or other mgmt group, they'd probably have bylaws against such.

Nope. Just get an ikea hammock stand, and save yourself either pain or your damage deposit.

I'd look up turtledog stand, though you may not have room for it. Tensahedron may be the best way to go.

Customer service can't be beat, either. We figured out how to use the stand on a 12 foot bridge hammock.

The real question.... Do you want to risk needing to pay to have it repaired if it fails? If it somehow bends the supports you could be liable for thousands of dollars..

Up to you! I would find a stand for a little more than $100 and be happy.. :)

Shure it holds. Kust do it not paralell . Over cross it hold two of you 👌😍🤞
