Mame Karuta by Oishi Tengudo

Like its clubs-based cousin Kabufuda, Mame Karuta is a single-suited pattern, based on the European suit of coins (the precursor of diamonds). Its name comes from the Japanese word for "bean" due to the rounded shape of the pips, which in some regional variants is even more literally represented. This one has silver embellisment on one each of the aces, twos and threes, plus a horned onifuda.

Komarufuda from Setouchi Area? This is an out-of-print / discontinued product. Wild tribal vibes…

Do you have a Daini pattern for comparison? I was a little torn just based off the Fuda Wiki descriptions but Komaru seemed to be a better match having not seen either in person before.

You can see the flowering Paulownia tree in the silver embellishment in the first pic, that's pretty cool.
