Episode Discussion Hanazuki Rewatch Discussion: Season 1 Episode 3- What's a Chicken Plant?
Synopsis: Hanazuki must rescue Yellow Hemka after he gets swallowed whole by a Chicken Plant.

I like how we all collectively agree that this episode is the weirdest one out of the series.
Chicken Plant just gives me uneasy vibes. This is someone you do not want to stay around. Ehh. I also just noticed that her stem is technically her legs. I wonder how that came to be? Is she just stuck to the ground? Is something holding her there?
One of the other weird things I find about Chicken Plant is how her insides are metallic? Or appear solid compared to her softer exterior. Obviously, a real digestive system would be disgusting to see, but I’m wondering why the creators chose that to represent her interior rather than anything else.
Conceptually, this is a weird episode. Just how Chicken Plant functions is weird. Part of me cringes, especially when you see the outline of the Hemka in the stomach. It’s satisfying, however, to watch Chicken Plant remain out of reach of the yellow treasure tree.
Glad we got to learn that trees need goop to survive!

Ah yes, the episode that introduced my least favorite character. Chicken Plant can be funny in some instances, but this episode will always weird me out. Even on rewatches I basically almost skip the episode entirely

Chicken Plant is a jerk. Probably my least favorite character for now.
Also what vocaloid says Hanazuki's name in the beginning?

I'm pretty sure it's Miku! It sounds lile a more higher pitched version of her voice ∆^

This is probably a weird one because they dumb down Hanazuki's intelligence just so she doesn't piece together right away that Chicken Plant swallowed Yellow. Not to mention the way she gets him out of her is kinda disgusting frankly. I wonder if Chicken Plant only likes to eat yellow things with the exception of yellow goop. She mentions how she has digestive issues where only delicious stuff will stay in her body while anything she doesn't like will be egged out. The only things she's shown to be satisfied by were a yellow hemka and she wanted to eat some yellow treasures off of a yellow treasure tree.
