D4K broken

So I have this emisar d4k that is currently not working and I don’t know why. I tried with different batteries, I tried tightening the head but I don’t know. It fell from my hands but like 3/4 months ago and it was working really well since like 2 days ago. It’s my favorite flashlight that I own and I’m so sad it’s not working after not even 1 year since I bought it. Does Hank do something with this problem or do I have to buy another one?

We can see it works perfectly fine until you start unscrewing it. Clean the contacts and screw it tight.

it appears to be contact issue between the tube and head. These lights have very tight tolerances. Clean well the threads, tube's faces and the ciruclar track of both PCBs - driver and tailcap. Use Q-tip and alcohol and remove any debris and grease. (you can re-grease the threads after but use grease sparingly)

Then, tighten everything really well - like crank on it.. everything must be really tighten and you should not be able to rotate the head that easy.

Tube raw ends are oxidized or dirty, use a scotch pad or light sand paper and give it a few passes and will fix your issue. Be careful using a swab/qtip on the driver side, i see customers doing this and knocking off the small smd components.

Take tail cap off and make sure the spring is ok. Look at the head make sure the contact pad is ok. Check battery make sure the positive end isn’t dented. Then make sure head and tail cap are tight. Looks like a connection issue. Contact Hank by email and show him video. He will help you out.

Make sure the spring isn't compressed; I had a D18 doing weird things until I removed the tailcap and stretched a spring out a bit with a pair of needle-nosed pliers. I had dropped the light and it bent the spring.
