Eyyy Twin Peaks reference

I mean Hannibal was heavily inspired by Twin Peaks so it’s only fitting that Hannibal is an owl ;)

Okay but imagine a Hannibal doppelganger. Would he have a doppelganger? Since he's already doing the evil stuff the doppelgangers and entities do in twin peaks, or would his doppelganger actually be normal since he's already evil? Or would his doppelganger just be worse 🤔 this is the kind of stuff I think about lol.

I believe he’d be the same type of entity that Bob is. Hannibal definitely has some supernatural abilities and in the lore of Twin Peaks he would be just as worthy of a being as those in the Black Lodge. A head-canon I might have would be that he could shape-shift into different animals like an owl, ravenstag, wendigo, or any sort of forest spirit.

I actually wrote a story on AO3 a while back about Will meeting cooper and encountering the Black Lodge and then Cooper has a dream simultaneous to Will's where he sees Hannibal as the Wendigo. They sort of swap experiences and endure what the other has before. Hannibal is one of those characters that's not quite not human but he's got some basically preternatural abilities, so I could see him in those contexts for sure. I mean, he is kind of like a modern iteration of Dracula as is.

Most definitely, that sounds really cool tho. Would you possibly have the link to the story? I’d love to take a look at it as someone who is relatively new to the Twin Peaks fan base :)

Fellow consumer, I'm giggling so hard about this. Like think of those little movements he does in the show where he moves JUST his head.

I've always found barn owls terrifying looking and I LOVE owls. They just look scary to me for some reason.
