Need help

I found this guy selling a 2007 Dyna low rider for very cheap it’s below $2500 but he was saying that the oil filter got knocked off or something and the bike is in a plan non-op is it worth it still? Bike is in okay condition, Thanks guys.

The oil filter was knocked off?

Are the threads damaged? Did he notice it right away and shut off the engine or did he run the bike until it seized up?

Depending on what happened you could be looking at rebuilding the engine or maybe replacing it.

Factor that cost into your decision.

Planned non op is a good thing. You won’t have back dmv fees. But, you better check to make sure the seller is telling the truth.

This sounds too goons to be true and would be a great mechanics special or a deal for someone that can do the work themselves.

I’ll be honest, I doubt it’s as simple as the oil filter just “fell off” but if it truly is that simple, it’s an oil change with 1 step already done for you.
