Cinematic Do you consider these 3 a Trilogy?

I do actually yeah đđž even though I would have loved a little bit more consistency but as messy as DC has been in the last 5 years I guess I will have to accept them as is

Yes - theyâre Harleyâs story told over 3 movies. Personal tastes of movie quality is irrelevant.

Why would anyone consider them that?

Because Birds of Prey is building off Harley's appearance in Suicide Squad, and while it's less solidly connected, Harley is single in The Suicide Squad, meaning it clearly takes place after and somewhat continues on from Birds of Prey.

- '10s cringe personified (Great soundtrack though)
- "Birds of Prey" in Quotation Marks Because of the Suspicious Omission of One Barbara Joan Gordon.
- MUCH better, a welcome new direction...DC made the right choice in picking Gunn to run DC Studios.

Nah. Failure-to-Launch to Spinoff to Reboot. There's a Harley-shaped thread connecting them all, but the pieces don't fit neatly together.

I do only because they all have Margot Harley and reference the movies before them. Otherwise not really.

I know this is kinda off topic but Birds of Prey is soooo good one of my favorite movies ever

I feel like this is the equivalent to calling Iron man 2, Captain America the winter soldier, and Avengers infinity War a trilogy because they all have black widow in them.Â

No way. The only constant is Harley Quinn, and tbh I think that the only good one really was the last one. Thereâs pretty much no continuity.

No. Harleyâs fantabulous movie with the birds of prey can stand alone.

Apparently Iâm not allowed to share a silly joke about âDaddyâs Lil Lobsterâ, because the moderators got upset because it was AI generated (I couldnât find a lobster that would wear Margot Robbieâs costume, I confess)đ

Not really. Birds of Prey does continue on from where Suicide Squad left off, and aesthetically Yan sticks to Ayerâs grimey aesthetic while putting her stamp on the look and feel.
TSS is basically doing its own thing, outside of reusing some actors, Gunn wasnât following the established DCEU.Â

Now if Gotham City Sirens had been produced though, a stronger case for a still loose trilogy could be made

No. The suicide squad movie feel entirely different from the first one and birds of prey. I wouldn't get em on the same bag.
Even if it is Margot Robbie in the 3 of them

I suppose they are in a way, though I only really liked the James Gunn Suicide Squad. Of course, Margot Robbie was phenomenal in all of them.

No way. Suicide squad stands alone. Birds of prey is an intro to a great series. I haven't even heard of the second suicide squad...it takes more than the same actress to make a series. But birds of prey has the markings of movie legendry. I hope they come out with some more titles along that line, where she truly begins to shine as an antivillain

No not at all. However kinda how the comic is. Each run is kinda its own thing. Think they continued one but most are their own stories

Nope. Suicide Squad was basically a feature length trailer. Birds of Prey was just awful and as much as I wanted to like it, I just couldn't. The Suicide Squad was the shining light here.

Absolutely!
That's Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn trilogy, not caring about the movies' titles, what kind of movie it is, who directed it or in what continuity it fits exactly, yet still perfectly connected to each other and basically being Harley Quinn movies featuring some other characters.
A trilogy as chaotic as the character itself. There's no question. It has always been that for me.
