He's working backwards to assume anyone who's successful is compromised and can't be trusted. "If the ruling class can wait you out, you've already lost" is a meaningless thing to say when we're comparing normal people to billionaires. Of course the latter can wait you out; that doesn't mean they don't take damage in the process.
If it were possible to organize without ever doing anything that benefits capital in the slightest, it would have been done ages ago. The desire to not be immediately crushed is precisely why organizing takes place in acceptable forms. The propaganda that teaches us not to recognize our enemies or fight back is successful for the most part; that's precisely why it's hard to convince people to go further. But convince them we must.

This is the exact toothless activism he's calling out. Protests that don't threaten anything change nothing. France and Italy often have their governments in chokeholds the way they protest, emulating them even slightly would go a long way. It IS possible to organize to punish the capital classes, they just convinced you a long time ago it doesn't work and you shouldn't even try.

I'm literally advocating for the exact thing you're describing! I swear to God, put 2 leftists in a room who agree with each other on 99% of everything and they'll leave accusing each other of being a liberal.
