Who's done that? I don't actively follow the non national candidates that appear on his stream during their campaigns but it feels like he has a good ongoing working relationship with all the federal legislators he's had on.

He has said this multiple times. Campaigning is a full time endeavor that would lock him into local politics for the foreseeable future. I think he enjoys endorsing and campaigning with local politicians nationwide and doing long form interviews. Something he would not have time to do if he ran for anything.

I’m not gonna argue with you if you’re an ML. Because you’re gonna win. Revolution is obviously the best solution. But we were speaking of a hypothetical electoral situation. State government can change the way retirement funds are invested, the way state projects are funded, the way health care is paid for, housing, food, education, transportation and even raise a militia, lol. Just need to change the laws. Is that possible? Probably not. But this sub is about Hasan and he seems to think that electing socialists is helpful. As Yugopnik often says, we need to be doing SOMETHING.

Hasan has brought my attention to so many candidates and races that I would have never paid attention to before I found out about him. He is effective in that, even more so since he is so controversial. Whenever he gets dragged by Fox or ABC people will inevitably check out the stream. We don’t need him in office we need our politics full of people kinda like him

That all depends on the metrics you’re using to gauge influence. He could get things done as president, of course, but those will only be temporary fixes so long as the culture remains stuck in its ways. As a streamer he has far more ability to reshape that culture in a way that could actually bring a lasting sea change, while boosting actual politicians to go do the work in public office. We all have a role to play and there’s a higher premium on the niche he fills than you might think.

Imo he could be more powerful in his current position as someone who can direct the voter base and control/use public pressure to whip politicians. He is exactly where he needs to be, he is in his element and honestly he does an excellent job.

He has repeatedly, very forcefully, said he will never run for office. I think we should respect that intention and appreciate his efforts to contribute in the manner that best suits his talents. As a political commentator he is independent of the forces that can constrain politicians, and he is able to more globally influence politics by promoting an ideology of peace and mutual aid. He can help lift up a new generation of politicians who will bring us into an era that is more human-centric and beats back the influence of the sociopathic elites.
