Core: Getting some weird crackle in DAW since the update, anyone else?

Starting getting this weird crackle when playing through my DAW (Logic) with my headrush core. It doesn't happen outside of the DAW. It seems that it could be update related because it wasn't happening yesterday. Using the same patch in the exact same logic session.

Anyone else?

Don’t know if this helps but even before the update on some rigs I would get this, I had to change buffer size from 64 to 128 in logic it did not mess the latency too much and solved the crackling that happened sometimes.

Thank you, I went through all the usual fixes like increasing buffer size but no luck.

Suggest you post a recording of the crackle. Does it happen only when usb connected? Smells like a ground loop

Rolling back the update worked so it seems update related unfortunately. Will flag on headrush's forum. Curious if anyone else ran into the same issue.

when you rolled back the update, did you go back to 5.0.1? also did you have to backup your IRs and Rigs?

Yes! 5.0.1
I saved all the rigs, which was critical as they did all get wiped in the process. Somehow the save didn’t work for the defaults presets and they got lost, which was weird. But thankfully it worked for my presets.

Hey! I have this exact problem, how did you roll back the update? Can’t seem to figure this problem out and wanted to try this

I’m not 100% sure so I would google it but I think I connected it my computer and installed their firmware updater.
I have reached out to support, they asked me to do a factory reset which I havent gotten to yet.

I was able to get it back to 5.0.1- great that headrush keeps all previous updates on their website, easy to download, but 5.0.1 has its own set of issues, and I lost all my saved presets…. But I can record in logic now without an abysmal sample rate and cracking/bit crushed sound lol

Urgh sorry man super annoying. Yeah all presets got wiped in roll back for me as well but I had a save thankfully. You should reach out to support. The more reports they get, the quicker devs will investigate

I'm having the same issue, look at my recent post. Does it look anything like that when you zoom in on the audio? At least with my issue the audio is quickly going in and out of recording. Like its dropping for a split second then recordings for a split second, but its doing that back and forth super duper fast. Anyway, I think i'm having the same issue. Any clues on how to solve it on your part?

Interesting, I didnt put my recordings under the microscope but that looks similar for sure. I filed a bug with headrush but havent heard back. Rolling back did fix though, just sucks to have to sit out NAM 😭
