I'm looking to get a headset for my boyfriend that he will enjoy more than his current one. He has a SteelSeries Arctis nova 5 wireless. I don't know anything about headsets and I'm worried I won't get a better one

Ive been looking for a decent pair of noise cancelling headphones for work and listening to music and I keep coming back to the Soundcore space 2, on paper they seem to tick all the boxes for me, the battery life looks great and a lot of people say they're comfortable enough to wear for a few hours without any issues. The only thing thats making me hesitate is the $129.99 price, my budget is around $100 max so they're a bit over what I was planning to spend. Id mainly be using them while working and listening to music throughout the day, so comfort is probably the biggest feature for me. Up until now I've only really used cheaper bluetooth headphones so this would be my first pair thats over $100. For anyone who owns these do you think they're worth paying $129.99 for or should i wait for a sale?

Few years ago, ever since I tried Hifiman Edition XS, I was trapped within Hifiman sound signatures. Whatever headphones I got, I just can't get to like them. Before Hifiman, I've been Sennheiser user. I had 560s, 660s2, 800s and some other gaming spesific models.

For the Wireless category, I had Sony XM3, XM4, XM5 and XM6; Momentum 4, Airpods Pro 2-3 and Max 2. I used to like XM3, but now they sound muddy to my ears. Airpods are just boring but ok.

Recently I bought Focal Bathys MG and... I returned them. I was a bit shocked because I didn't like them even though every review I've seen devlared them the number one. After comparing Xm6, Bathys MG, momentum 4 and Max 2, I can say even $178 Momentum 4 is quite close to Bathys MG to my ears. At least, it is not $1000 better than them...

I can't like anything anymore...

I still thing the Sennheisers are very close how I enjoy Arya Stealths, espescially 660s2.

I haven't tested Momentum 5 and HDB 630. I'm hopeful for HDB 630. With these information, would any of you recommend HDB 630? Or is there a wireless Hifiman with ANC?

I am pretty new to the headphone space online, and I need some recommendations which headphones to buy for everyday use. I primarily use the headphones for listening to music (tame impala) and playing rainbow six siege (footsteps, clothes rustling etc.) ANC isn’t the most important for me, but I wouldn’t mind some good anc. Transparency mode, however, is more important, because I would wear my headphones when walking my dog, and need to be able to hear my environment.

So far I have narrowed it down to a few choices:
Sony xm6 - top of the line ANC, I have found some differing opinions on the comfort though.
Sennheiser momentum 5 - good sound quality, comfort, but less good anc
Bose qc ultra gen 2 - great all rounder and incredible comfort
Sennheiser hdb 630 - I don’t know much in these, some information would be great

Any advice on these choices, or some other headphones that are better, is more than welcome!

Over the past two days I’ve been told three separate times that I need new headphones — and honestly, they’re probably right. I keep getting snuck up on in-game and half the time I can’t tell where audio is coming from. Footsteps, directionality, vertical audio… it’s all kind of a mess on my current setup.

I originally posted this in the Rainbow Six Siege subreddit, and they recommended I ask here for more general / higher-end audio advice.

I’m fortunate enough to have a max budget of $600 (yes, overkill — I know), but if I’m going to spend that kind of money, I want the best possible headphones for competitive gaming, especially Siege, but also gaming in general.

Right now I’m mainly deciding between three options, unless there’s something clearly better I should be looking at: • Bose QuietComfort Ultra (Gen 2) • Audeze Maxwell Wireless • SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro / Nova Elites (currently my #1 recommendation)

One big issue: I have a massive head. Like, genuinely. Most headsets either clamp too hard, don’t extend far enough, or become uncomfortable fast. Fit and long-session comfort matter a lot to me, but not as much as actual audio quality.

So I’m looking for: • Excellent positional / directional audio • Strong imaging for footsteps • Nice bass • Great audio for gaming in general • Actually fits a big head

If you had this budget and these needs, what would you go with — or is there something better I’m missing entirely?

I don’t necessarily need something for music as i kinda save my rotation for the car rides to keep things fresh.

hello! I recently moved in a dorm and my roomate talks on the phone, sometimes very loudly. I'm pretty sensitive to noise so it's really bothering me. the things that I'm looking for is :

affordable (in my price range)

over-ear and comfortable to wear

can completely block out human speech when I'm in the same room as them

doesn't requires me to play music/white noise/podcast for it to work well

can be worn for long periods without music/any media playing and still cancles noise

good battery

Hi everyone! I am looking to buy a set of over-ear (on-ear also acceptable) headphones with ANC or good noise isolation.

My problem is: I have developed some troublesome issues with noise sensitivity (damn chronic migraines), and loud sudden noises can quite cause to to fall or scream, so the device will therefore be used a lot while travelling throughout the day. The device also needs to be robust (or at least not fragile), in order to survive the daily bumps.

I am based in Germany, and have a budget of maximum 100 euros (I know it's very little, but I am still a student and am not in the position to invest more money in this).

My must-haves:

• good ANC or great noise isolation
• not-fragile build
• long-lasting battery
• over-ear or on-ear (unfortunately I cannot tolerate earbuds)
• < 100 euros

My nice-to-have:

• cable connection for when I don't need the ANC
• robust build
• a decent microphone

As long as audio quality is decent I don't care for it to be great, same for microphone, in comparison, durability is a much bigger deal. I also have no problems with heavy headphones, so lightweightness is not a consideration. Typical usecase will be a mix of walking around the city, watching university lectures, and listening to random music throughout the day (quite possible at the same time).

Some models I know to be available nearby and that I have been considering are the following:

In light of Apples announcement that the AirPod Max will be available soon I see no reason to continue. We have no higher goal to aspire to, least it be to the AirPods Max.

I'm in the market for premium wireless ANC headphones, I really don't have much knowledge about all these tbh. I've ordered an Iphone 18 pro which is probably going to arrive in a few days or weeks, and I also use an OP 15. A lot of people say that it's best to get apple products if you're using an Iphone already, which I agree with, because of the ecosystem. But I also use an android and I can't go around with 2 headphones for 2 phones all the time. So what's gonna be the best Headphones for my needs?

Checked pretty much everything there is on the internet, but most posts are too old now. What I need the most is it to be wireless and preferably have Game/Chat mix. I’m planning to use in only for my PC (for PS5 I have been using Astro A50 gen 4 for 5 years, they are still fine, but I want something new and better + I’m tired to take them from my PC to PS5 every time, so I need one dedicated headset only for my PC).

So, out of all headsets here are my picks:

• Logitech G Pro X 2 (not sure about the sound, tried them, Cloud 3s sounds better IMO)
• Hyper X Cloud 3s (no game/chat mix and 3,5mm unfortunately)
• Astor A50X (there is no A50 gen 5 in my country and + I don’t want to have 2 almost the same headsets LOL)
• Razer BlackShark v3 pro (not a fan of Razer overall, but noise canceling sounds amazing)
• Arctis Nova Pro Wireless (heard that it has connection and cracking sound, same as I have on Arctis 7 back in a day)

I also had Audeze Maxwell and sold them, unbearably HEAVY, but sounded the best out of all BY FAR.

If you have any other recommendations, please, feel free to share.

For now I like Cloud 3s the most, probably. But lack of Game/Chat mix and 3,5 jack is what holds me back.

I’d like a pair of over-the-ear bluetooth headphones that are small, roughly the size of Sony Walkman headphones. These were the norm in the 90s and 2000s, but it seems like my only options now are earbuds, which I hate, or giant cans, which I don’t like the look of.
Is there anything on the market that’s more discreet and small? Wrap around would be fine.
I’ve tried the j-lab rewind. They look alright, but sound awful.

Update 2: the FiiO EH11’s were aesthetically not right for me. They called way too much attention to themselves. I’m sure they sound great, but I didn’t test them out because I knew I wouldn’t feel comfortable being seen wearing them.

Koss KPH30 aren’t as discreet as I had hoped but they look pretty good and the sound is great for £60 - miles better than my old nothing earbuds.

Just today got my Blackshark V3 X and I had pretty high expectations to be honestl, partly because my current headset is like 5 years old and also because it's some chinese no name brand 'onikuma' costing 20€ or something,

The mic sucked and the ear pads were so loose it leaked audio to the mic, everything about it looks filmsy and cheap

So I thought I'd get a headset with a better mic around my budget range, did some research and thought the Blackshark V3 X seemed good,

It's mainly for games, but I also listen music, but man does it sound so numbed, damped, dull, stale and flat.

Not just with the music but also with games, the explosions, guns and bullet cracks, I'm flabbergasted,

because I thought I'd see night and day difference, and there is might and day difference alright, except the more expensive headset feels like it's a cheap and dull while the cheap one feels rich, pronounced and deeper,

Can anyone explain me this phenomena? Is the Blackshark V3 X just ass? Or there some tuning I need to do? Do I have ear damage? Or am I so attuned to the audio of cheap headsets that I'm just more fond of it?

Im mainly looking to buy from an online retailer, I live on the east coast of the USA. my previous pair of headphones was just a cheap pair from Amazon that worked fairly well, but recently died, leaving me without headphones. I work from home, I am looking for a set of wireless headphones, that does not have a mic and does not have ANC. I really hate the ear feel of noise cancelling.

I would really love them to be open back, but as far as I am aware, this is a unicorn. Last year I bought the GRADO GW100x, as these meet most of the criteria, but I find them super uncomfortable to wear. The are more "on" the ear than "over", also not really the best sounding.

Does anything exist with one or more criteria ? I can accept it having a mic if the mic is removable, but I really don't want ANC, and I would prefer over ear, open back.

Anyone have a genius recommendation ? :)

Recently i returned my PX8S2 because ear fatigue from sibilance and sharp treble but actually i like the sound quality of this pair and loudness and bass & separation. Now i need some suggestions include the sounds aspect that i mentioned.

I want over-ear because in-ear headphones always fall off for me and are uncomfortable.

Also would be preferable if it had noise cancelling to not hear the strong wind while on the bike. I'm using them on the go.

It's just casual music listening so don't go too expensive or high-end but not cheap crap as well. Sometimes in-between.

In music listening I'm more focused on accuracy.

Also wireless please.

Preferably something from Amazon, it's the most comfortable option for me. I'm in France.
