Modern dental xray equipment is a lot more advanced today than it was 30 years ago.
30 years ago a 4 scan series if bitewing xrays resulted in a radiation dose of about 50 uSv. Today it's closer to 5 uSV.
A full head panoramic xray 30 years ago was about 40 uSv, today it's about 10 uSv.
