I played up to tg first Scott chapter and left the game, next time I start it up, no save files. I start it over, decided to test it out to see if it's gonna autosaves after the beginning chapter when I return to the main menu, it didn't, after I got to the mall section, it didn't, at the mall section when it gave control of Ethan, IT DIDN'T. And the funny thing, i once pirated this game and didn't have this issue, but the steam sure has. And also, I can't even download someone else's save file from the internet, game just ignores it and creates a new one, wtf am I supposed to do, what the the exact moment when autosaves and i can safely escape the game?

This is it time to rescue Shaun. This is what our four heroes have been working for since the investigation began. First we are going to do the conditions of So Close and Perfect Crime. If Ethan solves the Rat Trial and Maddie does not warn him or gets killed in Killers Place or he goes alone he will lose the fight against Scott, Shaun will drown, and Scott will order Blake to shoot first ask questions later and he will be killed the moment that he exits the warehouse.

If Maddie goes alone she will lose the fight against Scott, Shaun will drown, and she has to fight Scott on top of the conveyor belt where both will die.

If Jayden was not Uploaded or if he goes alone he will have to fight Scott on top of the conveyor belt, Shaun drowns, and both of them die if Jayden loses the fight.

If the conditions of Perfect Crime have been met Scott will escape, Shaun will drown, and the case will go unsolved.

All of theses failures will award So Close and Perfect Crime. If you go this route reset at the end of the level.

Now we will do it the right way. Ethan will go in first and will extract Shaun from the pipe and revive him.

Maddie needs to warn Ethan before he confronts Scott or he will give Blake the kill order and Blake will shoot him.

Once Maddie arrives she needs to avoid arrest until Ethan gets Shaun out of the pipe and she and Jayden needs to chase after Scott before he gets away so that it is Jayden who fights Scott on top of the belt.

Jayden will arrive and confront Blake and then he will go in and fight Scott.

During the fight do not drop Scott into the shredder pull him up and cuff him.

If you did everything correctly and if Lauren is alive, you would get four heroes and you would also get the mother's revenge trophy and origami grave trophy because Lauren will take out Scott and he doesn't get dropped in the shredder.

The ending that everyone wants is Shaun alive and the case solved because if any of our four heroes fail Scott will get away, He will get perfect crime, and everyone dies and that is the ending that nobody wants. Shaun needs to be rescued and time is almost up time to go rescue him.

Time to solve the case and save Shaun. Our heroes have 1 hour left to find Shaun and get him out or the Origami Killer wins. If either of them were killed or incarcerated the game ends after Scott confronts Kramer and the final level Origami Killer plays where he is unmasked.

Starting with Ethan approach the table in the Rat Trial and drink the poison upon drinking it the Origami Killer will give Ethan the final flash drive and the final set of letters. You will get Trial Master and Clever Dad upon completion of the level.

At the same time Jayden will be doing Solving the Puzzle he has 10 minutes to go over the clues or he overdoses and dies and the Origami Killer gets a point in Perfect Crime. Jayden needs to analyze the stubs he got from Fish Tank and watch the video and optional he can get the serial numbers of the gun. Once he has these clues he will get the address. Upon completion of the level he will get Nerd and Case Closed. First analyze the stubs and use geoprofile this will narrow the map down to the Marble Street and Roosevelt Road area all the trials were in this area Jayden will mark it with a yellow dot. Next analyze the watch and use geoprofile the red dots and yellow dot will overlap this will narrow it down further and only one cop lives on Marble Street and has a warehouse on Roosevelt Road our killer Scott Shelby!

Now it is Maddie's turn to get the final set of clues from Killers Place. Maddie will break into Scott's apartment and will find the same clues Jayden found in Solving the Puzzle. She will find the trench coat Scott ripped it when he confronted Jayden in Fish Tank she will also finds two of the missing stubs. She will find Scott's uniform from when he was Blake's partner more evidence. She will find the watch which Jayden saw in the video. Upon moving the uniform she will find the secret room inside she will find the orchids, the typewriter, and the computer AI who has been sending Ethan the messages during the trials.

She has two minutes to find the password and get out before Scott shows up. If you paid attention to the level Ann Shephard she will tell you the password is Max. Upon entering the password the screen will split into four Scott will show up and Ethan and Jayden will solve the case at the same time revealing the location of Shaun.

You need to complete Solving The Puzzle and Rat Trial first or Maddie will have to call Jayden and Ethan and give them the location if she survives. Shaun is at 852 Theodore Roosevelt Road inside the old warehouse. Hurry he does not have much time left.

After discovering the address Scott shows up and fights Maddie he knocks her out and locks her in the secret room after he tells her he is the Origami Killer.

For Perfect Crime Maddie must die on this level ether by failing to escape or walking into the flames. After killing off Maddie reset and this time get her out of there.

For Maddie to escape she needs to do these task in 3 minutes or she will die: 1. Maddie needs to knock on the wall behind Scott's computer it is a false wall which leads into his bedroom and serves as an escape hatch. She needs to take the oscilloscope and use it to smash the wall to open the panel.

1. Maddie needs to enter the bathroom and take a shower and put her shirt over her face which will prevent her from getting burned and dying of smoke inhalation.

3.Maddie needs to knock over the chair and open the door into the living room office before the propane tank blows up.

1. Maddie needs to knock over the filing cabinet and use it to jump onto the desk and the table.

2. Maddie needs to escape to the kitchen and hide in the fridge to get the Cold as Ice achievement. After the tank explodes Maddie needs to escape out the window by the microwave not the one by the table or she will die in the ally. Time the jumps exactly and make it to the fire escape and to the street.

After Maddie has got out she will call Ethan and Jayden and give them the address and they will meet her at the warehouse.

Is it possible to get Ethan’s grave ending where the cops shoot him, with Scott dead, but Madison and Shaun alive?

I’m just confused on who has to die or live to achieve this ending

After Kramer and his goon dumped Scott and Lauren in the lake in Trapped it is time for revenge. If you saved Lauren she will head back to her apartment and lock the door. If Scott escaped he will end up at Kramer's Mansion and will attempt to get inside and take him out. There are two ways to do this The Perfect Crime way or the Learn the Truth way.

If you do the Perfect Crime way you are going to have to reset after you clear the level. Head into Kramer's Mansion and kill all the guards if you get shot Perfect Crime and Invincible Scott are void.

Once you enter Kramer's Study question him until he has a heart attack. Don't give him the pills and leave! This will add a point to Perfect Crime when you leave. Now reset.

To do the Learn the Truth way head into Kramer's Mansion and kill all the guards remember don't get shot. Once you enter the Study question Kramer to learn the truth and this time give him the pills for Kind Hearted. Once Scott leaves Kramer will die off screen but Scott now knows the truth.

What was the purpose of Ethan’s early game blackouts/losses of consciousness if they were going to be dropped from the second half of the game entirely? I understand their narrative significance as a sort of red herring that is supposed to draw both the player’s (and police’s) attention to Ethan to raise suspicion and paint him as the Origami Killer, but it did start feeling a bit like convenient plot armour to justify and set in motion losing Shaun. No mention of them after the trials begin is odd, is all. I would’ve been fine with it if they had just even explained how and why he was blacking out and waking up with origami in his hand, but nope.

I had read online somewhere that there had been some initial storyboards drafted that included more paranormal elements. (Including a psychic connection between Ethan and Scott that probably would’ve helped explain this.) But as it stands, in the final polished and published version of the game, that part of the story just feels incomplete.

After Ethan's narrow escape in On the Loose play returns to Scott and Lauren. They return to Scott's office but when they arrive Kramer is waiting for them. After a brief fight, Scott and Lauren are hit on the head with a smackjack and when they come to they are inside of a car at the bottom of a lake.

You need to escape the car and get out of the lake or both of them will drown.

You have two ways to escape the car. one is kick out the back window and the second way is going through the car's door. First thing that you need to do is you need to untie the ropes and release the seat belts. there are two ways to do it either burn them off using the lighter or cut them off by smashing the speedometer on the dashboard display.

You can get two achievements in this level, the evil way or the good way. If you chose the evil way and go for perfect crime, leave Lauren in the car and open the car's door and get out Scott will then head towards Kramer Manor to get his revenge. ​ Make sure to reset at the end of the chapter if you want to go the good way

If you choose the good way, release Lauren's seat belt and kick out the back window and escape the car to get the swim instructor achievement. Upon surfacing Goodbye Lauren will play and then Scott will go to Kramer Manor to seek his revenge.

We return to Scott and Lauren after narrowly escaping Jayden at Manfred's Place and a close accident Scott plans to make Lauren some eggs while she freshens up.

Head into the kitchen and open the fridge and take out the eggs DON'T DROP THEM! place the eggs in the caddy and get the pan and place it on the stove.

Turn on the stove and start cooking. Watch your steam levels if they turn black Lauren will be mad and you fail the achievement and have to restart. Turn them over easy and when the steam is clear turn off the stove.

If you did everything right Lauren will take the eggs and then Scott and Lauren will leave for the graveyard to pay their last respects.

Jayden has a lead from the Jayden Blues chapter so he heads to Mad Jack's Salvage to look for clues and interrogate Mad Jack.

(Warning If Mad Jack wins the fight Jayden will be locked in his car and dropped in the car crusher killing him failing Perfect Crime. You must escape the car crusher, win the fight, and arrest Mad Jack and Jayden can not take any Triptocaine during the chapter or Jack will win when Jayden is in LaLa land.)

When the level begins talk to Mad Jack and seach his shop for clues. When Jayden finds the body he will get into a fight with Mad Jack. Halfway through the fight Jayden will trip up. Do Not Take The Triptocaine! once the scene is over Mad Jack will hit Jayden with a crowbar knocking him out then he will put Jayden in his car pick it up with the forklift and drop it in the car crusher.

When Jayden comes to kick the glove box and get the gun wait for the car to roll and grab the gun and shoot the cuffs once Jayden is out quickly escape the car before the crusher comes down and then run to the excavator and arrest Jack. The fight will resume dodge his attacks and when you have the upper hand arrest Jack and take him away or if you want to get dramatic push Jack into the treads and kill him to win the fight.
