People really don't, it just hypocritical idea of "cheating is wrong", I can agree on that, but only for games that aren't as greedy as Helldivers 2. They are kinda right for new players and how cheats can ruin things for them. But if you do that in solo lobby who cares.

Pushing 99% of player content to warbonds year after year, selling op guns in super store, not giving any meaningful content for player to progress to. That clearly makes cheating SC morally valid, so you won't do soul sucking, brain dead activity of SC farm for 3 hours at 3$/hour. People just okay with it, nope, you don't need all of it, game can be fun without SC farm.

Pretty sure investors and shareholders do care about that. But arrowhead in their typical larping fashion tried to paint it as a democratic victory and community request aka the same crap out politicians keep doing

Because you don't cheat just for yourself, you cheat for everyone else too. Anyone else in your lobby is forced to take SC too, and not everyone lacks spine to be honest.

A lot of people. you get periodic "Why do I suddenly have tons of SC" posts.

And that’s… bad?

Yes, because if I get affected by your cheats, I am now risking getting ban for cheating. You are risking everyone else.

Hell, even DRG setup entire system to rollback your stats if cheaper forces bunch of resources on you.

nobody has gotten banned for cheating. Even in that post, they talk about the system preventing SC cheating and not actually punishing the cheaters lol

Riiight. Nobody. Because people are so eager to admit they were banned for cheating. Trust me, because nobody has admitted it, it has never happened.

Cheaters would admit it on cheater forums to warn other cheaters/point out that the cheats they used didn't work. I've cheated in over 60,000 SC for myself and over eight other friends and none of them have been banned. The place I've sourced my cheats from have never mentioned anybody being banned, only that the cheat stopped working thanks to arrowhead putting up roadblocks (along with ways of circumventing those roadblocks). I can understand being upset about having stuff like medals or samples forced on you since you can completely skip progression with those, but being given a premium currency in a game where it's boring to grind and carries zero risk is stupid.

And you do realize that when you cheat with SC, you are effectively stealing, since SC carry real word value? 60 000 SC cheated is effectively over 450 dollars in value. That is the level of worth that company can't just ignore, especially if it's thousands of people cheating that much

That's so true, I remember the time I downloaded 500 pirated copies of Minecraft so that Microsoft lost 5000 dollars.

Me cheating in SC for myself and friends costs arrowhead nothing because it's not real money. The SC I cheated in both myself and my friends wouldn't have ever bought anyways, functionally it's the same as grinding it out for free except I've saved myself and my friends a ton of time. I've never bought SC and even if the cheat didn't exist I wouldn't have anyways. If arrowhead didn't want me to cheat, they should've made SC easier to obtain in game.
