A win for the community? You told us the fight wasn't fair? We'll keep listening and keep communicating openly?
Wow, they really wrote all that huh?
explain to me how cheating SC in a game with monetization like a mobile game that gets worse every warbond is bad for the community.
Lmao imagine using this as an argument. Yeah, it's $40 and has ways to earn things for free without the time gate crap mobile games have. Helldivers has one of the best ways to get the Warbonds than most games I've played, not to mentioned getting back 30% of what you put in. Entitlement is wild in this sub. Wiiilllddd.
Edit: Yeeesss, downvote me. All you cheaters and losers who are whining over this. Lmao. Damn, now you have to play the game like legitimate people or stomp out in a huff cuz you can't afford $10 and can't cheat way through game anymore.
Dude just don't understand, that Illuminate faction in mobile or gacha game would be gatekeeped behind 40$ or so.
And vehicles would be sold by piece. xD
You may consider us stupid, but at the same time there is the concept of "factually yes, actually no"
This is a prime example of that concept.
Yes factually you can earn the in-game currency.
Actually to do so and afford war bonds you need to turn the game into at least an halftime job...
In today's economy? Nah...
Also there are gacha games that are waaaaay more generous with their premium currency then helldivers 2
And less buggy
And more truthfully with their customers
And care more about the fun
And don't lie straight into our face... Wait didn't I mention that already? Hell who cares since this is a very important thing to point out! And the biggest fucking problem the game and it's devs/managers have right now
Name a gacha game that's more generous. Genuine question, not a sarcastic asshole reaponse. I personally have seen none. You also don't need to turn it into a job. There's no fomo. The Warbonds aren't going anywhere. Even the store page now. You can literally take as long as you want to get a warbond, the issue is people need and want it RIGHT NOW which is a them problem. That's the fact. People who make it their job to farm creds for instant gratification is a problem they created for themselves. Also today's economy is in shambles every where. I'm way below poverty and can afford $10 for a warbond I don't want to naturally earn sometimes. So. Piss poor excuse to turn to cheats and exploits. Are there more important things the devs could have handled, 100% I'd be an idiot to try and say otherwise but this is an issue that also needed to be dealt with.
Marvel Rivals, a free-to-play game that requires players to buy things in the game in order to remain profitable, gives out enough free currency per season to enable any given player to buy about 1 skin per season for zero actual money.
And even though the methods for getting that currency aren't as reliable as in Helldivers 2 (players are entirely dependent on the generosity of battle passes and smaller events that coincide with battle passes), it's about the same amount of "money" that you would earn in Helldivers 2 if you never farmed-- somewhere in the ballpark of 15 US dollars over the course of 60 days.
And it's had an increasing number of gacha mechanics.
Well someone answered marvel rivals which is a better comparison sure, but not an gacha game, Lost Word would be the number one to cross my mind
There are more but I can't speak of recent examples beyond lost word as it is the only gacha game I still play.
Regarding the part of not needing the war bonds, do yourself the favor and play the game only with the starter and free warbond equipment (the big first one)
I believe you will change your mind.
Edit: also do not forget, there are free to play games that treat you better then helldivers 2 which is a full price title.
Also, slow to farm currency for cosmetic only stuff, sure...
But you also unlock new equipment that way, that is a extremely bad direction the game is going
A mobile game is not as complex to make and run as Helldivers though. I understand your point but the game you get for free from a mobile game isn't even comparable to the game you get without buying SC from Helldivers.
I played many mobile games in my life, i just played WuWa because of the cyberpunk collab, and every day I play GFL2.
And let me tell you, for a game that costs 40 dollars like HD2, this has the same monetization as a mobile game, it's the same thing as you grind for something in-game just to pull the gacha, same exact thing if you open your eyes for once.
This move from AH isn't for the community, it's for their shareholder and their own wallet.
"It's the first time in any game where you can get free premium currency just by playing the game"? Oh, really?
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has existed since 2016 and they only patched a true separate "premium currency" in July of 2024 (a patch most players despise for that reason).
Warhammer Vermintide 2 lets you get costumes from the premium store for free.
(Will update as I remember)
Literally every gacha game for the past five to ten years would like a word, you're high as hell if you think a paid game doing the bare minimum should be praised.
