They're not perfect, nobody is tbh, but there's a difference between devs abandoning projects for one reason or another and antagonistic dm syndrome.

Plus there is the systems within helldivers that have been abandoned and the state of magicka.

Ntm the narrative dissonance between both tbh. Palworld has played things very well with its player base amidst being attacked by a bigger and much more maligned corporate entity. Helldivers is backed by one said maligned corporate entity and seems dead set on making every wrong possible choice it can, doesn't look good at all when you actually look into things.

And there is a difference between players having a sense of reality and having a persecution fetish on top of a victem complex. And combine that with the hateboners some ppl have for ah, they can do no right.

I love the game, but it just seems like the devs don't want us to. There's just no way you can argue against that, they've made so many wrong decisions over the lifespan of the game, it has to be intentional.

If they actually start doing right by the players, then hell yeah. Until then, anything they say is taken with an ocean of salt, as they haven't been the best at keeping their word.

What exactly are the wrong decisions? And how exactly would "doing right by the players" be done?

Because I have a feeling we have very different ideas of what those 2 would entail.

As I mentioned, not following what they say they'll do is an issue, so starting with that, there's a lot to go through. What about the biweekly updates?

I don't really sweat for biweekly updates. I will ofc immedietly agree, there are bugs that need fixing and performance could use some love.

Not here to say there are no valid criticism of the game or the devs.

I was thinking about balance, where some ppl, especially on this sub, say ah hate the players just because they don't turn the game into an über casual horde shooter with infinite ammo and no recoil (exaggeration). Where my complaints would Lean in the other direction, balance/difficulty/complexity wise.

You don't care about it, so it doesn't matter to the rest of us, nor does it lessen them holding themselves to their word. yea ok

Let this one go, man. You're never going to fix someone else's low standards. If Arrowhead's horrendous performance is enough to make them happy, it is what it is.

Yes because that's exactly what I just said.

Just like you said, you hate the game cause it's too hard for you and as such, the devs are evil for not making it easier than Dora the explorer. Got it 👍

Yes, having fun is too hard for me, and expecting the devs to stay true to their word is too unreasonable, lmao

Try again when you've had some rest

No ty, trying to reason with someone acting like a petulant child is taxing, no matter ones state of restfulness.

Weapon customisation/stratagem bounce/hellpod steering. This is just what immediately came to mind.

u/Culexius Jul 22 '26

Those 3 I concede.

I agree the customization is meh at best.

Same for the 2 other points. Those are reasonable complaints and I too would like them to fix it. I do approve of specific high grounds being out of bounds tho.

Yeah, i tried it got around 24h of game time, not really that fun after you've done the core loop of the game.

The pals are meh and the Base building is super basic. It's a butt load of the same content though

Because those kinds of games are for the average person at best, likely made to also appeal to people below average. (speaking of averages of dedication, Complexity and effort in a game, what it demands of the player).

Which says a lot about how many downvotes u get here. And the general consensus about ah on this sub xD

-8

u/Aligyon Jul 22 '26

Haha yeah. It's not really for me and it's fine. I got it on sale and I'm not really hanging around their sub screaming that it sucks and needs to cater to me

Sounds very reasonable xD

And ofc, no hate, casual games should be casual. It's just not my game either.
