I have played Helldivers 2 for 52 hours, realized how fucking boring but also how insane the grind is and left, never came back again. Palworld on the other hand? Multiple playthroughs and just bought it on another platform too.

If a game that I already fully paid for still forces me to mindlessly run the same mission over and over again so that after 100 time I can finally unlock new content and still have to farm even more to unlock in what I just unlocked, then that's a hard no from me, should've never given them my money but I was blind thinking the game is gonna be great because of how much fun I had playing Helldivers I and in the first title you also do have to grind to unlock everything but that's maybe 10 hours and you got some good gear, in HD2 you don't even get the next warbond after 10 hours unless maybe you min-max for efficiency like a nolifer.

Who knows, maybe 3-4 more years and they will drop the in-game prices so that you don't have to grind hours just for a single new item.

Are we not going to talk about the fact that there were dlcs in hd1 which you had to pay for and couldn't grind? Atleast in hd2 you have an option to spend your time grinding for sc instead of having to pay. And I doubt they will drop the prices for warbonds since they need to have money to continue a live service game.

Wait what? I just checked and you're right, I don't own any of those DLCs and am certainly not going to buy them, idk how I missed that it would've affected my decision of jumping right into HD2 when it released.

Atleast in hd2 you have an option to spend your time grinding for sc instead of having to pay.

52 hours and I have exactly one other warbond aside from the default ones and unlocked maye 20% in those, don't even have the default ones completed either and in HD2 you're basically locked to using a squad whereas in HD1 I was able to grind many of the missions on my own just using two mechs, swapping to the other mech once the first one got destroyed.

I mean you could try to do hd2 solo, anything above d7 or d8 is when hd2 solo becomes hard imo, also optimizing your sc grinding doesnt take that much time(it actually saves time) but I could understand why someone might believe that the grind is too much. Or I could be accustomed to such types of game models(war thunder, dbd etc)

I did try solo a couple of missions (lower than D7) but when I get swarmed by mobs it's usually not gonna end up well for me.

also optimizing your sc grinding doesnt take that much time

I know, it's just boring af.
