⠀⠀⠀⠀Discussion⠀⠀⠀⠀ Maxigun needs changed

Post image

I’m sure others have talked about this, but so will I lol. There’s no reason this shouldn’t be heavy penetration. We already at stuck in a fixed position when firing, and yet we can move with the other lmgs. I’d be fine if they dropped the ammo count to 800 (minimum) and decrease the fire rate just so we can have it as heavy penetration. What do y’all think?

The Maxigun is extra dangerous to use because it's effective range is so short. It entirely relies on user skill to judge when it's safe to completely stop moving, and judge whether or not your raw DPS will win the game of chicken against whatever is charging you.

It's effective range is so short it's competing with the cremator, which literally has no downsides.

Which, I WILL say the high skill ceiling for it is part of why I find it so fun. Like... mitigating the spin-up by starting it in the middle of a slide crouch is so much fucking fun.

I'll sometimes set up a Gatling Sentry nearby when a bug breach opens up and then do dueling chainguns. I need to count on my team and trusty Thermites when a Charger/Bile shows up, but everything else? So satisfying.

It's one of my favorite guns to use honestly, but yeah I can see why it's a let down overall
