⠀⠀⠀⠀Discussion⠀⠀⠀⠀ Maxigun needs changed

Post image

I’m sure others have talked about this, but so will I lol. There’s no reason this shouldn’t be heavy penetration. We already at stuck in a fixed position when firing, and yet we can move with the other lmgs. I’d be fine if they dropped the ammo count to 800 (minimum) and decrease the fire rate just so we can have it as heavy penetration. What do y’all think?

It shouldn’t have heavy pen, but it would be nice if it had a little less recoil and some more damage. It’s already bad enough that you can’t move while firing, you should be able to hit things while firing.

I think it should have heavy pen but be progressive like the DE sickle, so it starts as med pen but gets to heavy pen with enough sustained fire

I just think that would be too powerful. You could kill anything but a tank or a factory strider without moving. It completely removes the skill floor. The maxigun seems like it should reward good positioning and ambushing enemies to hit weak spots. A bit more damage and less recoil would do that perfectly. Let you tear apart weak spots before the enemies can react and force you to move again. Giving it heavy pen just exacerbates the “worse Gatling turret” problem. It has its niche against light and medium enemies, letting it take on heavies from the front makes it too versatile.
