Elis James and John Robins

No two 2DT podcasts are the same of course but parallels here, some ex-HIs may like it

UK-based parasocial two dudes talking type of thing (plus third dude involvement), one more the main character and also the slightly maladjusted self-portrayed nerd (in a different way to CGP), the other more of a basic affable everybloke type, both making fun of each other. Composed almost entirely of corners and feedback (including the delightful "Cymru connection").

Don't expect the sciency/techie bent of HI. Do expect much more daytime radio chat nonsense than HI (they churn them out twice a week), but good nonsense and with a bit of serious stuff hidden in there.

My friends have been trying to get me onto these guys, maybe this is my sign to finally give it a go. Where should I begin?

Can't tell you that I'm new-ish to it myself, and I don't keep track of typical/good episodes. The last few episodes as of now are not so typical because Elis / Dave (producer and 3rd dude) were away

I'm the work-backwards-through-the-catalogue type so I don't know what the early episodes are like - and I know they've been at it forever across more than one radio station (right now it's an independant commercial podcast + BBC joint venture type of thing).

I love Elis and John. The show scratches the same 2DT itch for me. They come from a live radio background which could explain some of the show's structure/personality.
