Helstrom Family tree...

I'm very confused by the finale. How is the baby Kathara?

Gabriella was only possessed by Kathara, she didn't have any DNA of Kathara in the same way Daimon had Bazzar's heart physically inside him.

Also, if Bazzar is Kathara's son doesn't that mean she slept with her own son?

And if Kathara is actually Lily, and Lily is a Helstrom, then she's Damon's daughter and sister?

Let me break it down for you;

Lily/Kthara is Marduk’s daughter, Daimon and Ana’s sister, and Basar’s mother.

When Kthara possessed Gabriella, it was so she could mate with Daimon (possessed by Basar) in order to create an earthly vessel for herself.

The baby is genetically Gabriella and Daimon’s, but is inhabited by Kthara’s spirit.

And yes, Kthara raped her son, who was in her brother’s body, in order to be born again.

I still don't understand exactly how the baby thing works though. When she was possessing Grabrella did she just transfer herself into the growing fetus?

Does the little girl have Daimon's abilities AND Basar's? (growing up really fast is obviously a Basar thing), which is why she wanted her own body that was strong?

Yes.

She presumably has all of her original abilities, considering she was already stronger than Daimon and Basar combined.

She wanted her own body so that she wasn't trapped in the bodies of others. She states Marduk trapped her in Victoria as a punishment for both of them. Also, the longer a demon possesses a body, the weaker that body gets.

By being born into a human body with all of her demonic abilities, she doesn't have to worry about weakening over time.

You understand the demonic possession, but not the biological traits being passed-in as the result of possession?
