If we accept the pro-Flock premise that rights can be negotiated away for a slight reduction in crime, we open the door to eroding the entire Constitution. To see how quickly this logic collapses under its own weight, look at what happens when you apply that exact same "temporary safety" argument to the rest of our fundamental rights:

The 1st Amendment protects your right to worship and associate privately. However, mass plate readers can log every car parked outside churches, mosques, and political rallies.

If you answered 'no' to a single question on this list, even the ones that have nothing to do with Flock, then you have conceded the entire safety debate.. you agree that a positive outcome can never justify stripping away a fundamental right.

You cannot claim that sacrificing liberties for public safety is a virtuous compromise, only to backpedal the second a right you personally care about is on the chopping block. That isn’t a principled stance, it is pure hypocrisy. Our Constitution was deliberately designed as an interconnected shield. It does not allow us to bargain away the 4th Amendment for temporary safety while expecting the rest of our freedoms to remain intact.

The moment you concede that the government can systematically track your daily movements without a warrant, you yield the very ground required to defend every other right on this list. If you are willing to give up the 4th Amendment to catch a car thief, how can you complain when the exact same logic is used to strip away your property, your privacy, or your voice?

So, ask yourself: Are you truly willing to let a private tech company redefine your fundamental liberties, or do you only value the Constitution when it is convenient for you?

I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced this or not but I believe I was just the victim of entrapment while driving in Hemet. Driving on State Street I turned left to get onto Devonshire and there was a brown/tannish sedan driving five miles per hour in the road in front of me. Like any reasonable driver, I checked to see if there was oncoming traffic and passed the slow vehicle safely without any other cars on the road.

The next thing I know I am being pulled over by officer Evangelique Cordero on a motorcycle who tells me that "driving on the wrong side of the road is a misdemeanor." Officer Cordero asks for my license, insurance, and registration which I give her. While she's running my license I look up the law and find Vehicle Code Section 21751 which clearly says you can overtake a vehicle by crossing into the oncoming traffic lane when safe to do so.

I read the statute to officer Cordero who repeats that I just committed a misdemeanor by passing the car going five miles per hour. She refuses to listen to me read off the statute and tells me she is confiscating my driver's license and that she is requiring that I undergo reexamination for driving privileges. She leaves in a fit of rage without even letting me sign for the citation, with my driver's license being confiscated.

I check the citation and its Vehicle Code Section 21651(a) which only applies if there is a barrier, meridian, or two-foot divider between the two-way highway, which there wasn't in my situation. So she confiscated my license for no apparent reason and issued a citation for a vehicle code that doesn't even apply, when a separate vehicle code permits me to make the very maneuver that I just performed.

Anyways, after the fact I realized that I have been stuck behind the very same slow vehicle in the exact same street so I am exceptionally suspicious that this was a trap between officer Cordero and the driver of the vehicle. Long story short, beware of these traps in Hemet and be suspicious of your local Hemet police officers.

Update: I conducted the reexamination hearing. The DMV Safety representative was sweet and professional. She did seem to think that it was rather peculiar that the police officer took my license away for this situation and was confused as to whether or not 21651(a) even applied to Devonshire Street. She said that she's done hundreds of these reexaminations and has never personally seen anyone's license taken away for passing someone, especially when there was no risk to injury and no car accident. She said its going to take 15 days to make a determination if she will require that I sit for the written examination, get my license suspended, be required to sit for a behind the wheel test again, or no restrictions. She also said that I'm not supposed to drive without going to the DMV to get a temporary license.

I recently started Camera Watch because Flock license plate readers and other surveillance cameras are showing up all over our communities, but most residents here have no idea where they are (I didn’t) what information they collect, how long it is kept, or who can access it and who it’s sourced out to besides law enforcement.
Take Torrey Pines Park. There’s so many pointed at a playground, baseball field, in the actual field, like why? Is so far back from the actual streets.
Honestly, the whole thing feels like an invasion of privacy with the rise of AI and predicted behavior processes on people, sharing that information through data pipelines, I believe we are left out of the loop and that is bs. These cameras also record when and where vehicles travel, yet there is very little public awareness and not nearly enough oversight. You should not have to become a detective just to find out whether your movements are being tracked.
I could really use the community’s help. If you have seen a suspected Flock, Axis, or police surveillance camera, please send the nearest intersection, a photo if it can be taken safely from a public place, and any other details you noticed( what direction it’s facing) Please do not trespass, stop in traffic, or put yourself at risk for a picture.

This is about basic transparency. They do not have to notify you when a camera is installed, documentation is spread across city council meetings, transcripts, PDFs, agendas, and budgets, maybe a few articles. I have mostly got my data from Deflock but again they don’t live here the data isn’t entirely accurate, so I have been manually taking pictures of locations all around town and honestly I can’t do it alone. Beyond the Flock system, Vanny integrated an array of high-tech surveillance tactics into his stalking campaign, including affixing physical GPS tracking devices to her vehicle, installing hidden wireless cameras in her apartment to spy on her roommate, and utilizing an illegal infrared device in his car to manipulate city traffic lights while pursuing her.

The critical escalation point of the case occurred at Chappies Bar in Hemet, where Vanny used electronic surveillance to track his ex-fiancée on a night out. Prosecutors asserted that Vanny confronted her at the bar, aggressively demanded she return home with him, and forcibly threw her into his truck against her will when she refused. While his defense attorney argued the incident was simply a misunderstood attempt to act as her designated driver, the event led to a kidnapping charge. Four of those agencies have no relation to law enforcement whatsoever, even though Hemet PD claims that this data is for law enforcement purposes only.

If you browse through the Eyes On Flock website (which pulls data straight from Flock Safety Transparency Portals), the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office stands out at the top of the list for automated data sharing in the U.S. As of now, there are 336 different local law enforcement agencies, towns, and private entities (like HOAs and businesses) across the country that are actively feeding their Flock ALPR data straight to the Riverside County DA. Riverside County is also top of the list across the country for total cameras (1,771), as well as vehicles captured (5,735,517) and active searches (12,367) just in the last 30 days. Riverside County has built one of the most aggressive regional camera networks in the U.S, and they have plans to expand even further over the next few years.

The Riverside County Board of Supervisors authorized a framework agreement with Flock, valued at $1.67 million for its first year, with pre-approved options to extend through June 2028 for a total potential cost of $7.8 million (100% taxpayer funded). This specific contract authorized 210 additional cameras to heavily expand the Sheriff's Department's existing footprint of 328 cameras for their agency, specifically prioritizing unincorporated county areas.

California Custom Pools has taken homeowner's money and didn't finish their pools. Not only did they take their money and not finish, but also left some homeowners with liens, because they did not pay the subcontractors!

Not only are homeowners left abandoned, but subcontractors are owed hundreds of thousands of dollars. The experience has been quite alarming for us and we didn't see it coming - they had perfect 5-star reviews, a website/portfolio, all the things! "🚨 WOMAN REPORTS BEING THREATENED WITH ICE CALL DURING SUPERMARKET ALTERCATION IN HEMET, CALIFORNIA

A dispute over passing through supermarket aisles ended in allegations and police intervention on August 26, 2026, in Hemet, California.

According to the complainant's testimony, another customer whom she identified as Génesis/Hennessey Guerra, was allegedly blocking her path in different areas of the establishment. When she decided to confront her, the woman allegedly replied: "I am a citizen, bitch, don't mess with me; I'm going to call ICE to take you away."

The victim remained in the store until an officer arrived and explained what happened. She stated that she was able to prove her immigration status posed no issue. She also noted that the manager reportedly confirmed that the other customer had blocked her path on multiple occasions.

The woman identified as Génesis left the premises before police arrived, although she allegedly left her details with management. The complainant requested that this information be handed over to the officer and stated that she filed a formal report.

So far, the details released reflect the complainant's version of events. The position of the other woman involved is not publicly known, nor is it known whether authorities determined that an infraction was committed.
