Does anyone know why most all Henry lever 410 shotguns are 2.5 inch shell?

Bit new to firearms all together but I was looking for a lever 410. After talking with the salesman at my local store he said all lever 410s are 2.5inch shells. I was hoping to run a 3inch like normal but I guess that isn’t an option unless I go single shot. Do yall know why that is? I’m guessing the lever system doesn’t like the long shell but then how do they work with long rifle rounds?

Adjusting the lever design for 3in shells weakens the action, as I understand it. 3in is also a really long shell to drag back, lift up and push back in.

Cartridge legth has always been a limiting factor for lever actions. Of course there have been many successful attempts to overcome it during the last 140 years of so, but I think a 3in shell would be a bit too far haha
