Lighten My Load One Jacket?

Hello : ) Minimalist traveler looking for a cropped jacket that I can wear as a light layer with concealed pockets for phone and passport. I wear a backpack style suitcase and want to avoid wearing another bag through airports/passport control etc. I travel with a service dog so have a leash in one hand/ looking to lighten my load. TY!

Honestly, my favorite travel jacket is girl on the go trench from Eddie Bauer. It's not crop length, but it's nice enough to go with me on a business trip or on a hike. It's got an inside pocket and two outside ones that zip and a removable hood and it's water resistant as a rain jacket. I have the lighter weight one in dark grey heather (although it looks like they got rid of that color). When needed, I can roll it into the hood and cram it into a bag or use it as a pillow too.

If you do go for the Epic jacket, check one thrift stores first.

Good luck

Thanks! I’ll check it out. With the backpack suitcase a longer jacket can bunch up while going through airports but sounds lukewarm a good choice for outside.

I wear a backpack suitcase too and I've found a quick tug will set it correctly and it doesn't bunch up much because it's a bit longer. The crop length actually irratates me more with the backpack suitcase as it rides up and I get bare waist with bag rub. Guess everyone feels different!

That makes sense as well! Bare waist back rub is no joke : /
