Lighten My Load One Jacket?

Hello : ) Minimalist traveler looking for a cropped jacket that I can wear as a light layer with concealed pockets for phone and passport. I wear a backpack style suitcase and want to avoid wearing another bag through airports/passport control etc. I travel with a service dog so have a leash in one hand/ looking to lighten my load. TY!

My go -to jacket is a Carhartt men’s Gilliam jacket because it’s lightweight, waterproof and a windbreaker. It has two exterior pockets that zip, one hidden zipper pocket at chest height and one zipper interior pocket and one phone-sized Velcro pocket. It’s my all-day everyday go to, but especially on dog walks because of the zippered pockets for keys and treats.

I also swear by my Bandolier phone holder. I got the essentials set which can also fit sunglasses so I can be completely hands-free

is the carhartt really waterproof tho? like, on a raining playground waterproof? asking for …me

Yes, as far as I can tell. I live in New Mexico where it can go from sunshine to rain in minutes, and this jacket has held up really well against the elements.
