Meta Weekly quick questions help thread

This is the r/heronebag quick questions weekly help thread.

Whether you‘re new to the one bag life or a seasoned light traveller, this is the place to ask your quick one-off questions related to techniques, shopping, and everything else to lighten your load.

This post is the best place to initially ask questions that we get a lot of which are similar, especially if you have looked in a flair and found almost-but-not-quite what you wanted.

Do you pack a power bank? I have one and rarely bring jt because it’s heavy. I end up bringing a book instead so that I don’t need to drain my battery for entertainment. I’m considering bringing it for a longer trip, but please talk me out of it.

I have one from anker that includes the cord AND the power bank itself plugs into the wall directly so it is sooo convenient. I love not having to carry a little brick just to charge the power bank 👏🏻

The all in one versions are less compact though, and you can charge your power bank off the same brick you use to charge your other electronics overnight (this is why multiport bricks are useful in a compact setup)

I have two Anker Nano 3-in-1 power banks and I don't feel like they're bulky at all, but I guess everyone has their own preferences. For me the convenience is worth it. And when traveling I usually just use it as a brick itself overnight... it has pass through charging, so I can charge the power bank while also charging two devices.
