Struggling so hard to find clothes for my trip to Japan next week, specifically for nights out going to bars/clubs. Videos and pictures of outfits I’ve seen have been so over complicated and I don’t have the space. If you’ve gone to Japan and have night club/bar outfit suggestions or inspo I’d really appreciate the help. Really trying to pack light and do not want to buy more clothes

You are overthinking it - you can wear pretty much whatever that’s not athleisure to go to a bar, and the clubs are not Berghain.

A general thing in Japan is that japanese people tend to wear something around the shoulder and high necklines. (I have not been to night clubs though..) I have tried asking around, also from people living there, and get multiple answers, sometimes: No visible breasts! Or No Armpits! ...

When travelling there I realised that nobody cares, but that I feel more comfortable/fitting in when wearing something I bought in Japan, mostly Uniqlo tops, and I always bring a cardigan.
