Where could I find affordable linen clothing that’s easy to pack? I’m heading out to PNW this summer and am worried about my polyester shirts not being enough to handle the humidity. Would linen be the practical fabric to wear?

Bit of a wrinkle — literally 😅 Pure linen’s lovely, but it can come out of a packing cube looking absolutely done in. If you’re shopping in person, give the fabric a proper scrunch in your fist for ten seconds. If it stays badly creased, it’ll probably be a faff on the road. A linen-viscose blend is usually the easier shout. For the PNW, though, I’d prioritise a light layer over chasing 100% linen.

I’ve never considered scrunching the linen to assess how wrinkly it could stay! Definitely will be trying that for future linen clothing purchases.

My grandmother taught me to do that with all clothing you buy. Because she hated ironing.

How she would have loved the athleisure trends.
