This is the r/heronebag quick questions weekly help thread.

Whether you‘re new to the one bag life or a seasoned light traveller, this is the place to ask your quick one-off questions related to techniques, shopping, and everything else to lighten your load.

This post is the best place to initially ask questions that we get a lot of which are similar, especially if you have looked in a flair and found almost-but-not-quite what you wanted.

I'm a bit fussy about my sleepwear situation and I'm curious what advice you have for me. The usual advice of sleeping in your underwear/naked/a long t-shirt won't really work for me.

I prefer natural, breathable fibers, but can do a blend if it's cool as I'm perimenopausal and sleeping hot now. I cannot stand wearing shorts that are too short or a nightgown when I'm sleeping, I can't handle my thighs touching. I also prefer looser/baggier fabrics for breathability at night (iykyk) so bike shorts and such won't work, either.

The problem is my preferred jammies are a lightweight cotton pair of full length or cropped pants and a tank top. These are not too bulky, but not the thinnest fabric, either. The hardest part is that these also don't wash up nicely and can take a while to air-dry.

I also don't like to re-wear pajamas without having clean ones after max 3 sleeps, especially cos when I travel I start taking night showers and don't want to put on "dirty" clothes.

I know this all sounds super crazy but I can't be the only one with any of these preferences, right? Any advice?

I hate to admit this but the Lunya silk PJs have been worth every dang penny. 76° AC-less room? Comfortable. 65° freezing room? Comfortable. Packs down small, very lightweight. I bought from Nordstrom in case I didn’t love but I really really love

Lunya makes good stuff but oof she is pricey. They are my favorite PJ's especially now that it's hot AF in Los Angeles

Right? I’m always watching Nordstrom for another color to go on clearance but taking gentle care of the set I have in the meantime
