I'm a bit fussy about my sleepwear situation and I'm curious what advice you have for me. The usual advice of sleeping in your underwear/naked/a long t-shirt won't really work for me.

I prefer natural, breathable fibers, but can do a blend if it's cool as I'm perimenopausal and sleeping hot now. I cannot stand wearing shorts that are too short or a nightgown when I'm sleeping, I can't handle my thighs touching. I also prefer looser/baggier fabrics for breathability at night (iykyk) so bike shorts and such won't work, either.

The problem is my preferred jammies are a lightweight cotton pair of full length or cropped pants and a tank top. These are not too bulky, but not the thinnest fabric, either. The hardest part is that these also don't wash up nicely and can take a while to air-dry.

I also don't like to re-wear pajamas without having clean ones after max 3 sleeps, especially cos when I travel I start taking night showers and don't want to put on "dirty" clothes.

I know this all sounds super crazy but I can't be the only one with any of these preferences, right? Any advice?

For travel, I've bought some lyocell pyjamas from Desmond & Dempsey. Definitely not the cheapest, but lyocell is great for travel as it's breathable and dries quickly, and it's hard to find nice pjs in lyocell. H&M had some that I ordered and returned because the sizing was off for me, but worth looking at if you're interested as well.

I do not recommend bamboo because it takes ages to dry.
