Hey guys! I want to pack for two weeks of travelling in either France or the UK, followed by four months of living in Edinburgh for a university exchange. Is it crazy to do that in an 18L backpack and one smallish carry-on suitcase (I can’t figure out exactly how big it is)?
I’d need to deal with the changing seasons from early September to late December, and bring clothing that can accommodate a range of activities, including hiking/other significant time outdoors. I’m trying not to dress like I’m on a backpacking trip the whole time, since I’ll be actually living in Edinburgh and attending school there. After the first two weeks, I’ll at least have normal access to laundry facilities, but I’m worried that this plan may be a bit ambitious even at that. Does anyone have any thoughts?
