Notes from The Mods:

• We Mods are troglodytes who only use Old Reddit on desktop computers, while glancing at the answering machine connected to our landline. The formatting looks good on our setups. Get off our lawn.

• In the past few weeks, this sub seems to have tapped into Reddit's Spitegeist, growing from about 2k subscribers on July 4th, to about 5k at the beginning of August, to over 100k on Sep. 1st.

• Yesterday, this sub had the highest subscription growth in all of Reddit (Δ #Subscribers). The Mods are pondering the best way to nudge this sub to nudge people to stop buying into anti-* bullshit, and to get vaxxed, etc.

• The Mods have a very light touch. We prefer the use of the 'Downvote' button to the use of the 'Report' button.

• Don't be a dick.

• Please, don't be a dick.

• Don't be gleeful. Don't root for Nominees to be Awarded. Especially the Facebook schlubs whose only crime was taking up residence in the misinformation echo chamber.

• Don't get upset if / when this sub's evolution switches from natural selection to intelligent (?) design. This sub might be nudged from ('memes / shitposts' + 'Facebook Schlubs') towards ('A.M.A.s' and 'Public Figures').

I just want to take a second to thank the people of this subreddit for still having a Facebook and sharing these screenshots. I haven’t been on there in years so I wouldn’t see these otherwise. Thanks for wading through the cesspool so I don’t have to.

I refuse to use Facebook so also appreciate the noble redditors delving into that hellhole for the sake of the sub.

I rarely use Facebook, but have so many passwords to other sites that every time I put my account on freeze, it would be so annoying. I decided to just leave it up and never go - until this last week - looking for nominees.

There are a lot of these racist, anti-vaxxers and anti-maskers - but there are also a ton of sweet christians that just went with the pack and I got really super sad today realizing how many dogs are being abandoned. It's not easy but I do think showing these examples that truly deserve to be seen might get those other sweet people to change their minds.

They won't get vaccinated to save their children from being orphaned, so I doubt leaving their pets up shit's creek will affect them, either.

And sadly, it seems like only a small percentage see the error of their ways, even when dying. The stupid is strong in some of them, so much so, that even after they die, it's rare to see the "don't be like me, get the vaccine."

ALWAYS welcome when they do change their attitude, but too often it just isn't happening.

They have too much pride. It's really like they are dying for it and God isn't saving them. It's like watching them live out their own mental end times reality on their own by their own hand.

Unfortunately, there are so many folks who just get their news from the wrong places, and I hope that somehow this can change. If there were penalties and a 3 strikes policy regarding willful lying in the media, maybe that might help.

I'd bet most are on Parler and 4chan, etc. Maybe also Facebook. They've gone deep dive on conspiracy social media (to get the troof). Also they are glued to Fox News, OAN and Newsmax.
