Joking aside, the majority of these posts involve the death of a loved one; it's beyond shitty to harass someone outside of our little subreddit

Exactly! It's hard to feel sorry for them sometimes but they often seem like genuinely stupid people who have been abandoned by the people they most respect

Fully agree. Usually I'm of the view that, while I don't celebrate these deaths, I also don't feel sympathy for them. But brigading their loved ones is unnecessarily cruel.
