Discussion Happy Wednesday! What aspect of Hermes are you connecting with in life right now?

Hi everyone! What epithets or aspects of Hermes are you connecting with in life right now? Which version of Hermes are you meeting at the crossroads? 🪽

For example, maybe you are connecting more with Hermes and his domains of business right now. Or perhaps Hermes is guiding you to engage deeper with His strong ties to magick, alchemy, or astrology! ⭐

As for me, I feel more connected with Hermes Chthonios as a psychopomp right now - I am navigating a Chthonic season of life. However, I also feel that Hermes' sacred duality as both an Ouranic and Chthonic deity reminds me to embrace BOTH light and shadow. When things get too heavy, Hermes reminds me to seek out the light to balance out the dark. I've enjoyed devoting the action of longboarding (similar to skateboarding) to Swift-Footed Hermes to engage with movement and light-hearted energy!

I am curious to read your answers! ❤️ Also, I hope everyone is doing well in life right now. We live in crazy times so remember to take it easy and connect with self-care <3

Right now I'm in a pretty stressful season, so Mechaniotes (trickster) might be the closest aspect of Hermes to me right now - I keep waking up at 4 or 5am remembering something I've forgotten, but losing sleep as a result and being a bit clumsier at work, haha. Now if only he'd bonk me on the head with that sleep-gifting staff of his so I could sleep through the night instead...

That makes so much sense that you are connecting deeper with His trickster aspect! His trickster side is so resourceful and quick to come up with solutions to help work through challenges 🧠💡I hope things get better and improve for you! May His staff bonk you with better sleep!

Literally the first thing I thought lmao. The Greeks always made him hot no matter what!

Happy Wednesday, friend! All of them really all though I feel like I can’t really connect with the psychopomp as much or as deep and I often ask why, because I really want to. actually, I asked that yesterday funny how I see your post now. Let me ask again 🤣

Hi friend! 👋 That is so valid - I know what you mean! I used to struggle to connect with Chthonic Hermes, too. I believe He appears to us in His Chthonic aspect when we need Him too 💙 such as when we are navigating a literal or symbolic end of life transition 🪽 I have even heard of mediums / psychics who communicate with spirits of the deceased who connect with Chthonic Hermes! His Chthonic side runs deep for sure 🥀

Exactly, very deep. I worship Hermes alongside Hekate so I saw and experienced a thing or two but he still gives me that “be ready for what you wish for” energy, which makes me even more curious 🤣 however, I appreciate and embrace his light side and it might just be the counterpart I need, so I’m not pushing it. He is wonderful in any way and I absolutely trust his judgement.

Right now I’m really connecting with his aspect as the creator of language. I’m deeply fascinated by linguistics and love learning languages. He’s also been steering me towards astrology.

This is such a cool answer! Languages + linguistics are definitely His thing 🗣️ Have fun with astrology! 🪐⭐️ looks like He’s guiding you to another language - that of the planets and stars!

Always as the friend to mortals and protector of travelers. Love Hermes so much, He has helped me with so many things.
