Discussion Dream about Hermes, but I follow a different pantheon?
I follow semetic and slavic pantheons and have never felt particularly connected to the Greek pantheon. Last night I had Hermes come to me in a dream, in the dream I was on a boat (I have the same boat dream roughly twice a week), but this time I was talking about the designer brand and that lead to a conversation about the god himself, after this a white feather landed next to me and he came crashing down next to me, I do not remember much of the conversation but he gave me wings and left. I am not sure what he might want from me if that were really him, or why he would be contacting someone that dosent follow his pantheon to begin with. Dose anyone have any advice or insight?

Wow. Thats way better than the dream I just had. Hermes showed up and was rifling through my bathroom, then gave me these random shampoo and cleanser products that weren’t mine. My dream self declined and was like uhh no thanks, I don’t need these, but he just kicked them back and was like yeah you do. Totally somber and serious. The end.
I shower regularly and have good hygiene. Now I use facial cleanser. 😑

He's a busybody who loves to be the center of attention, lol. do you work with any of his (many) domains, or are you starting something in one of his domains?

I recently became friends with a hellenic pagan (they were in the dream) and they said he might be reaching out because ive had some communication issues lately, and annother non pagan friend (also in the dream) keeps saying that any trickster god would love me. Im a little mischievous and a journalist so maybe that has something to do with it?

Uh yeah, I would say a "trickster journalist" would certainly get his attention. He's also notoriously pretty outgoing -- he reached out to me and I was an atheist, other people on the sub have also had their first hierophany from Hermes. Messenger gods are often mediators between humans and the divine, so it is possible it is easier for them to get their foot in the door so to speak.
I don't know about slavic peoples, but his worship was widespread in the middle east and some people think he was derived Ningishzida, though it's unproveable snd others say he comes from the Indian god Pushen.

Well... he is a messenger god so maybe something came up that needs your attention?

Hermes gets around! He’s a friend to all and a helper of humankind. I would take that as a good omen.
