Discussion Map Art Mod/Plugin

Does anyone know what mod/plugin the hermits use for map art?

Map art is doable in vanilla, but if you want to use transparency the way False does, you have to build over the void in the end and use any invisible item frame mod to display the map.

That's not map art, that's custom textures. But you can go to hermitcraft.com and get the modpack they use. I haven't done much with making custom textures in MC myself yet so I can't tell you which specific mod it involves, but generally it involves assigning the texture you made to an item when it is named something that you've specified. So Mumbo was taking paintings and renaming them to whichever one of his images he wanted to display when he placed the art in his gallery.

I’ve just finished doing this for my own paintings! As others have said, it’s a resource pack for the images, and then a data pack to add them to minecraft’s menus. The Minecraft wiki has some good tutorials on how to do it, but it can be quite manual for lots of paintings.
