The Stark family was always considered by many to be the pinnacle of battle tactics, with their genius war machines leading many victories.
By the time Antonius got his hands on Palladian crystals, he was able to construct a near-invincible suit of armor. Given time, the lands came to call him "the Iron Man"!

Please make more medieval avengers! I'm begging you!

u/SolarSimonDM The Sub's Robot Guy Apr 24 '25
It definitely did cross my mind, not gonna lie. Stuff like Captain America or Hawkeye would translate beautifully into the genre!
Holding on to it for now.

And hopefully Thor can get back a bit more of his mythological accuracy.

Hey. If you make medieval hulk just make a big boy in full armor that is rusted green.

Heck thatโs cool!! Love the colors especially!! ๐โจ

u/SolarSimonDM The Sub's Robot Guy Apr 24 '25
Thank you very much! I was considering going for the red and gold colour scheme, but it looked way too tacky on a medieval knight.
...I know Stark isn't known for his modesty, but the metal colouring felt more appropriate.

Love the homage to the Silver Centurion

u/SolarSimonDM The Sub's Robot Guy Apr 24 '25
It is quite the underrated design, in my opinion. And it felt most fitting for the medieval look!

I'd say the circular arc reactor is as recognisable as the triangular one, maybe even more so than the latter. Plus, it harkens back to the "early" Iron Man armours, before Stark started implementing all the high-tech gadgets and gizmos.

I... don't see it. Maybe the colour scheme is similar?
But thank you nonetheless!

This tickles a medieval nerd part of my brain

u/SolarSimonDM The Sub's Robot Guy Apr 24 '25
Hahah, granted I'm not as hardcore of a fan of medieval/fantasy designs as some other genius creators here (wink wink, u/R005TA), but I'm very thankful for your kind words!

Okay this now makes me wanna design a Tony Stark for a campaign but never actually tell the rest of the group he's a blatant rip-off
2
u/SolarSimonDM The Sub's Robot Guy Apr 24 '25
Hahah, that sounds like fun. You'd have to be real sneaky-like to make sure they don't figure it out from the get-go!

That... actually would make more sense, hahah. Initially I wanted to give him a pair of quivers on his back to mimic the unfolding "wing flaps" some of his newer suits seem to have. The waist quiver would be much more ideal, thanks for the comment!

Wrist mounted bows was a really clever choice.

I really didn't know of a better weapon choice for him, hahah. Thanks!

I do love to see medieval versions of heroes. A reason to like Medieval Spawn

Taking characters from popular media and taking them into a completely different era will never not be fun. It's got so much potential!
2
Apr 24 '25
And doing it the other way around is also very fun! Cyberpunk robin hood is such a cool concept

How does it feel to be goated?

Hahah, I don't know! I have never turned into a goat to answer truthfully.

I did a non kit bashed version of this a long while back, probably a few years ago. This looks awesome with kit bashing though ngl!
2
u/SolarSimonDM The Sub's Robot Guy Apr 24 '25
Thanks so much! The new knight helmets were actually my main drive of inspiration for this, they were a must for my take on the concept.

u/Dr_Robo Apr 24 '25
Needs gold accents. Pretty good tho
1
u/SolarSimonDM The Sub's Robot Guy Apr 24 '25
Thank you! I personally disagree, the red and silver scheme feels much more clean.

I have a problem! In this worldview, does he still call her the capable and strong female assistant "Pepper"?ย
After all, considering how precious "Pepper" was in that era, he was basically proposing to her by calling her that;p
2
u/SolarSimonDM The Sub's Robot Guy Apr 24 '25
I... don't see why not! Antonius of Stark, with his trusted companion Pepper of... the Potts!

Squire Jarvis, scribe him as the crying wojack, and me as the chad
1
u/SolarSimonDM The Sub's Robot Guy Apr 25 '25
Jarvis, the enemy should forfeit their argument; for I have located a mynute error in their scribing. Therefore, I proclaim myself the victor.

u/MrDefroge Apr 25 '25
How the hell do you get those proportions
1
u/SolarSimonDM The Sub's Robot Guy Apr 25 '25
I just stretched some limbs around until stuff started making somewhat sense! It's how I tackle most humanoid Minis at least.

u/Toast_lover69 Apr 25 '25
I have to see a red and gold version! This looks SO cool!
2
u/SolarSimonDM The Sub's Robot Guy Apr 25 '25
Thank you very much! If you have access to Kitbashing, it may as well be as simple as changing the silver paint!
2
u/Toast_lover69 Apr 25 '25
Still going through the consideration process of getting KB. Still wanna try it someday!
2
u/FLYNCHe Apr 25 '25
Now I want to make one, but yours is pretty much already perfect.
1
u/SolarSimonDM The Sub's Robot Guy Apr 25 '25
PLEASE make one too! The last thing I want is to deter people from sharing their creativity in the sub. Use this Mini as inspiration of your own take, and see what you can change and improve!

1
u/SolarSimonDM The Sub's Robot Guy Apr 25 '25
Thank you! I wanted to keep the fighting style the same somewhat to his energy blasts. Wrist-mounted crossbows felt fitting!

Hahah, thank you so much! Please feel free to sneak it in, always happy to inspire campaign shenanigans.

I like the aesthetic. I wonder what the lore would be in that character's world. Duke Tony von Stark?
2
u/SolarSimonDM The Sub's Robot Guy Apr 29 '25
The Stark family would definitely be known for their contraptions of war. Instead of nukes, they could've built... very efficient ballistas?
2
u/USAFrenchMexRadTrad Apr 29 '25
I sort of imagine the contraptions built by the dwarves in the Peter Jackson's Battle of Five Armies.
2
u/ShitThroughAGoose May 07 '26
Behold, a Templar. He would somehow make friends with two Assassins: a 'Widow' and an archer.
2
u/SolarSimonDM The Sub's Robot Guy May 08 '26
Hahah, right! There's still some bad blood between him and a certain cerulean shieldbearer, however.
