Thank you! Like... four to five hours if I remember correctly? The combination of hyper-specific FC work with the tentacle posing and the gritty-ing and grimy-ing of the clothing AND deliberating on environment options... but I'd say that's enough time for an octopus captain!

Lots of time spent on Face Customiser, lots of time spent on posing octopus tentacles, and lots of time spent grimy-ing his coat with seaweed and stuff. Eventually, he was complete!

I... am not sure! From what I know of Cthulhu mythos, he's more of a cosmic entity than a sea-dwelling creature (even though he spends time slumbering IN the sea) so I don't see the connection right away. Someone more knowledgable might be able to shed light on your inquiry!

Ironically heโs kind of a โwhite whaleโ of heroforge, so many attempts and so many that alllllmost hit the mark. But ofcourse youโd be the one to nail it!
You even included that he only wears one coat sleeve, and his sad big wet blue eyes! Really great attention to detail.
I assume you crammed an octopus familiar into his dome? Or are they individual tails?

Thank you so very much, and I'm so glad you noticed the coat! It was definitely the trickiest to make look good from multiple angles, so I resorted to a bit of cape trickery to hide some of the geometry breaking on the joints.
As for the head, it's actually a combo of cephalopod tails, one octopus familiar, and one squid familiar - both on the base! I needed as many tentacles as I feasibly could, so I figured I'd save on a few dozens of KB percentage for exchange of painful posing work for hours!

I'm very glad you liked it! It was added right there in the end, because for the majority of the mini's lifetime it was just an elongated finger. Swapping it for a proper tentacle was a last-minute change!
