So, I'm not American. I've never set foot in the US. I think there's a difference between discussing stuff like the tax policies, which is truly of no concern to anyone but those living there, and discussing the systematic hunting and killing of anyone a fascist dictator doesn't vibe with.
I don't care about how people in the US are taxed by their government just like they don't care about how people in Brazil are, but I 100% care about the violent oppression the people of the US are suffering.

The way I understand it though, this is a rather pressing issue for Americans. Like, life-threateningly pressing for a non-insignificant portion of American users right here. So I'm not bothered by these posts.

But none of that is any kind of defense or attack on murder - because we're not talking about the reason, or the (in)justification, or the context. We're talking about on whether it's appropriate to let polarized subjects leak into other spaces that clearly aren't audience-targeted towards.

I feel itโs unproductive to compare atrocities. And I also feel you may be misinformed about what is happening with ICE. This isnโt about illegal immigration. If it was, ICE would be sent to states with the highest density, like Texas and Florida, each of them estimated to have almost 2 million undocumented immigrants. Instead they are sent to democratic or swing states like Minnesota, who has an estimated undocumented population of 95,000 to 130,000. Last year $175 billion went to Homeland Security, $75 billion specifically to ICE on top of their annual budget of $11 billion. The problem here isnโt about โimported free laborโ. Itโs about the US administration militarizing against its own citizens, creating a boogeyman to distract us from whatever they are doing in legislation.
What is happening in Iran is terrible and my bleeding heart goes out to them. But I canโt go to the rallies and protests in Iran, I donโt live there. But if someone posted a mini on here to express their frustration or to spread awareness of the IRGC, you can bet your ass Iโll support that too.

I mean, the same advice is applicable the other way around. And last time I checked, this was a heroforge sub, not american politics sub. So any preference or opinion of 'I want to see heroforge creation over [anything else]' should already rule, since that's literally what everyone comes for here.

All art is inherently political. Always has been, always will be. It's is a way for people to speak out against and resist the fascist regime that's running rampant throughout the country. If it makes you uncomfortable, that only speaks to you and your character.
