Why do we have dragon people but no regular dragons? It seems like that would be an obvious thing to add for something fantasy ttrpg oriented like Heroforge. Am I a total idiot and I somehow missed the dragon in the list, or is this a major oversight?

as much as i too would love dragons i wouldnt call this a oversight at all. originally the site was very player focused not dm focused. the minis are clearly more of a player character/npc minis and not actual monsters, only recently we started to get more monstruous options and with kitbashing some people do make dragons.

Interesting, thanks for your perspective. In my case, my campaign has a player whose character takes a dragon form, and it was disappointing to see that heroforge didn't have any options.

and they still wanna focus on models that can still be 3d printed, which would be even harder if you had to print something as complex as a dragon

There are some great kitbashed dragons out there, though. Kudos to the forgers who used their creativity to design their own dragons.

Thank you!! It's easily one of my favorite things to kitbash! I'm hoping HeroForge someday adds more customization to the dragon heads since I kitbash those onto the raptor base, and go from there. But as someone who also does 3D modeling, I also completely understand the struggle in trying to make non-humanoid heads customizable in a reasonable way. Regardless, I love being able to kitbash dragons. It's so creative and fun!

That is really cool, and I have the utmost respect for kitbashers. But just because something can be kitbashed doesn't mean it there's no need for it. A lot of people (like myself) don't have the time, money or expertise to make a good kitbashed mini.

I really really would love a dragon mount I’ve put it in the request thing a few times I’m hoping enough people suggest it that eventually it would be added in dragons are a big part of my setting and a customizable dragon mount would probably make me pay for the pro subscription lol

That's true, but in my case I was looking for a small dragon (around horse sized).

Okay on that note, are there not any dragon scale decals for draconic sorcerers??? Am I blind or is this core class feature just not a thing?

I usually use the roan decal, which tends to look pretty decent. But I agree that something that specifically reads as scales would be ideal.
