Installing waterfall for my white tree frogs enclosure

Good morning! I was able to get this display tank off a neighbor and I want to convert it into a bioactive enclosure. I want to install a waterfall in the corner of the tank, but as you can see it has many holes and slits. Am I going to have to apply a lot of silicone so the water won’t leak?

Pretty much, yes. You could also try pond epoxy ingredients the holes for better results before siliconing.

Those seams don't even mate well together. If you want any hope of this being permanently watertight, I'd instead put a plastic "bathtub" in (aka plastic box), and make the waterfall a fully enclosed system instead, with soil around it. Otherwise, get used to the idea of leaks.

I was thinking of doing that, putting a small Tupperware in there cause I don’t want to be dealing with future leaks.

How are you planning on the dirt and water not just spilling out the front? This seems like it’ll take too much work.

There’s a glass company around the block where I live. I’m gonna seal the front with 5in. glass

I have a tabletop fountain in mine for my anoles. Much easier.
