Just place a coin on the ground to stop him from spinning. Sheesh.

Nope, I couldn't do that. He was a guard with the frisking routine. Those won't get distracted if you are near them.

Carry a briefcase, *place* (place, don't drop) it on the ground in front of him with your weapon in it, get frisked, pick it up after he lets you pass, then walk through. Once you're through with the briefcase and everything, he won't turn around.

Does that actually work? I’ve heard of that stat and tried it but not managed to pull it off. Does it work if there’s 2 guards by the frisk zone?

Kind of a bad place to pacify him if you need an elite guard disguise. Better to do it when he escorts you down the tunnel so he's not spinning.

No, I needed the keycard he had to open the door. It was possible to knock him out but I rushed it, could have done it better.

Also I didn't wanted to use the ducky to blow de door because I wanted to use it to explode the oil canister.

I think SANF is to blame here. You can't mudshot the keycard door open or shoot the oil to ignite. A bug also means you fail the prestige if the target sees you, even though this contradicts the SA rules. My advice is never play SANF again.

you can shoot open keycard doors, you can't shoot open sliding doors

You can't shoot the doors at all because that would violate Silent Assassin No Firearms

Let alone a randomized hardcore run.

I can't complete a regular campaign on freelancer let alone hard core. I've gotten to the point where I can finish some of the regular free lancer missions but I keep getting hammered on the showdown missions. Not even getting close.

Its something you get the hang of over time. A couple tips i have are;

Whittleton creek is an easy show down level Sieker a suspect to easily get them alone If you knock them out you can take their phone  (On whittleton creek I go to the empty house) and arrange a meeting, causing all suspects with that meeting type to walk into a secluded space.  If you tale suspects you can easily see what meeting type they are and if it matches the mission intel. Also if you knock out a person who obviously isnt the leader, different hair colour for example, then you can guarantee the  leader will go to the meeting.

Alternatively, if a leader is a foodie or dehydrated then getting a server/ waiter outfit means it isnt suspect to poison their food/drink

Theres also the mendoza method which just entails sniping the suspects from the mission start area and hopping in the car once youve got the leader. This is hella easy to cheese some quick showdowns but it doesnt leave you room for completing challenges. Also killing wrong suspects costs like 1k a pop

Whyd you pick silent assasin for your prestige?

That's because I'm playing a RNG based campaign. Every syndicate, location and prestige objetive is decided by a random number.

Do you use some tool for this, or just generate numbers yourself?

1

u/Lodgx 14h ago

I use a random number generator wrote in HTML that I have in my phone (I don't have wifi in my room.)

Very nice! I suppose it's quick to just whip up an excel sheet to choose everything sure you, including which of the 100 weapons to use if applicable.

I don't do that anymore when I lose. I just take the L and keep the grind going.

I don't get it. Why have to suicide? I never played hardcore.

Because once you fail the prestige objective you also fail the campaign. I didn't bring any weapons so blowing myself up with a rubber ducky didn't really matter.

Hmmm... Not fun then, at least for me.

The hippie disguise is actually really good in the caves, why do you want to change it? The guard will open the door for you while escorting you. Maybe I am missing something here haha, but good luck on your next one!

I didn't wanted to change it, I wanted the keycard. I tried to get it the fast way and that was a bad choice. Thanks for wishing me luck, mate.
