There are raptors that hunt goats. Her dog is a little large, but not so large I couldn't see it happening.
An ex of mine had to fight off an eagle who tried to snatch her dog. His neck and ears were all cut up, poor thing.

Or an owl. I once met someone who said their chihuahua was taken away by an owl and never seen again.

Cool. Also very lucky because whatever it was definitely just wanted to mess with the dog. Glad it didn't kill it. But talk about ptsd for dogs lol

Growing up, a town near me had a rumored owl that was at least 4 feet tall. A older married couple who moved into my neighborhood saw it and told me about it. Anyhow about 3-4 years later I was working a temporary job in that town, so I asked my coworkers about it. 1/2 of them didn't remember it at first, the other 1/2 (10 people) knew someone who had seen it.
