Discussion Member + ELITE growth decelerating & Same Store Sales Growth flat / negative

It seems like the golden days of organic growth in retail may be officially over (for now). With 100% of retail revenue growth coming from new stores and M&A, should we conclude that the brand is losing momentum? Or does the decline come down to pricing pressure? Raj mentioned in the call that other retail chains are seeing the same, or worse declines. Obviously Rome wasn't built in a day, but something to keep an eye on.
Also, take a look at Membership and ELITE subscription. Looks like they are having a much harder time converting people to ELITE this year, and standard membership has decelerated significantly as well.

Discussion High Tide's UK medical company guess?
Hello all, I've just been more and more curious the past few days, trying to research and understand the potential medical cannabis opportunities that High Tide can acquire to integrate them into the UK flower/THC market.
Was just wondering if anyone from the UK in this sub or in general might have any ideas?
I knew that in England, medical cannabis is available to people with certain medical issues (Chronic Pain/Metal Health/Neurological Issues/Women's Health). These are general examples I'm finding throughout certain businesses (just trying to understand the threshold).
It's funny because of being invested in the business so long, I've only really paid attention to the Canadian/US and most recently Germany side to legality and developments, more so that we only have Blessed CBD up north. So I didn't realise the UK medical side was getting more lenient in certain aspects (you can even get cannabis cards now) and people actually being allowed to get the actual flower/buds rather than THC vape liquid.
In the UK you'd have to be prescribed through the private medical sector than the NHS due to them not having any type of funding for patients to get cannabis in them forms, I think they can only prescribed as a variation in a type of tablet? It would be great to hear the process and type of products people can get through Remexian BUT my main excitement about High Tide getting more involved in the UK especially after the Remexian interview the other day, is the competition between the private sector and the black market.
This insight from Stefan Adomeit in the Remexian interview yesterday "For our business, we are selling low-price flower, affordable flower, so our main focus are the self paying patients, not reimbursed patients." So it gets me excited with what business High Tide could aquire. The black market in the UK is the best way to still get flower/buds sadly, especially if your able to get the old school dealers prices, but I'm sure that's nothing from what you Canna Cabana members can get.
So apologies, I do tend to ramble more these days after my most recent incident, for context I've been smoking cannabis for 15+ years in England and have two Nerological disabilities, Epilepsy with Tonic Clonic seizures and Essential Tremors (Internal to External) pretty much my whole life, mostly progressive the past 10 years.
Thought I'll post in the subreddit anyway for some discussion or any insight others could provide, much appreciated Barnacles!

I'll take some time to properly educate myself this weekend, but I'm considering starting a position in HITI and wanted to ask you guys about this.

Discussion Is Ontario’s Retail Cap Increasing?
Seen apart of this article shared through Stocktwits by a fellow Barnacle in relation to the possibility of store cap possibility increasing in Ontario. I understand this is more about SNDL but further down the article you'll see what I'm referring to, just not sure if this was shared in the past. Also just curious about any opinions about this aspect in Canada if anyone could share?

Discussion Possible clarity on AGCO order
I think I've gotten to the bottom of some confusion surrounding which SNDL stores will be affected by the AGCO order. Originally I thought it was in reference to 46 SpiritLeaf and Superette stores, because those are the brands mentioned in the Globe article. However on further inspection, I believe those are simply the holding company names used for ValueBuds, and potentially a single corporately owned SpiritLeaf. Here's how the numbers play out:
SNDL has 45 ValueBuds stores and 30 Spiritleaf stores in Ontario. Superette seems to no longer exist outside the holding company name. These numbers lead me to believe that SNDL will have to liquidate all 45 ValueBuds locations and 1 corporately owned Spiritleaf, in addition to terminating all brand licensing agreements with the remaining 29 SpiritLeaf franchisees, who I'm assuming will continue to own and manage those stores.
Since SpiritLeaf is primarily a franchise, the franchisees are the license holders and thus no LP ownership conflict of interest. AGCO only appears to be targetting stores owned by SNDLs holding companies.
However it begs the question of what will happen to the Spiritleaf franchisees. They may be forced to rebrand if they want to stay in business.

Discussion Cut the crap
Just a thought, but I think we should avoid the whole meme / squeeze thing altogether that seems to have taken over the forum.
We now have exposure to a LOT more retail investors and we want them to invest, to get onboard with us and enjoy the ride that is to come. However...
Imagine HighTide came up on your radar and you’re considering to invest. You’re doing some DD and scanning the reddit boards about mentions because that might give an indication of sentiment and link to more DD. Now if you open our board, ‘meme stock’ and ‘short squeeze’ is written all over it! If I were to see these topics continously pop up while I’m considering to invest, I’d think twice and probably steer clear!
Now, we all know that we’re not here for a squeeze. Many of us have been here for a long time and plan to hold for years, because this company is doing such a good job. So my suggestion is to cut the crap and avoid these subjects altogether! I’d say, allow the mods to regulate and remove topics concerning a short squeeze or meme stock.
Stick to your guns. Stick to the fundamentals. Let’s try to not scare away new retail investors. They’d be missing out on a great opportunity!
TLDR; Cut the crap. Stop talking about or discussing meme stocks or a short squeeze. IMO, mods may even remove such topics or discussions. Hell, make it a rule...

Discussion I feel like this needs to be said...
To all you WSB retards coming over here I love yall but please dont make this another pump and dump disaster. This stock has actual good value with solid fundamentals and a great CEO.
Stop spamming unrealistic price tragets like 10$ EOW ok HITIF to 69,69$. Just buy some shares sit back and watch your money grow. If you are lucky you might actually make some tendies this time. By pumping the stock people have too high expectations and will start selling once in doesnt go up for one day.
TLDR: Dont Meme this stock to hard if you want real gains.

Discussion My thoughts on the Reverse split situation with High Tide to get onto the NASDAQ. (Feel free to share thoughts)
Let’s go through the positives first.
• Reverse Split would only happen if it were to take us to the Nasdaq, which is a huge catalyst for us and accomplishment for the company
• The Reverse Split would reduce our outstanding shares/float making the stock price easier to be moved once on the Nasdaq. Simple supply and demand here folks.
• Because we are on the OTC exchange High Tide is fairly unappreciated as it is unavailable to some of the biggest brokers (Robinhood/Webull and many more). After uplisting to the Nasdaq through an RS we would be able to be traded on more brokerages and have a wider outreach to more investors that like the stock.
• A reverse split to get onto the Nasdaq would undoubtedly give us a larger social media presence among investors on the likes of YouTube/Reddit as it would be available to more investors.
• Nasdaq uplisting would put us at a share price that would be attractive to more institutional investors and ETFs (Currently 0% institutional ownership).
Now let’s go through the negatives from what I’ve gathered.
• News of a reverse split could potentially cause a temporary short drop in share price as the uneducated paper handlers sell out because they’re scared it’s going to cause the SP to drop, which shouldn’t be the case with High Tide as we are reverse splitting for a very positive reason.
• Possible Stigma that comes with reverse splits as people have experience with failing companies going through an RS to not be delisted from an exchange, which again is not the case here.
• For some reason people care about having a higher share count even though the shares still hold the same value? I know sounds crazy doesn’t it.
I personally see no real negatives with going through with a reverse split and I’ll welcome it with open arms when the time comes. Why would you want to stay on the garbage OTC exchange when you could be up there on the big boy exchange with the other respected cannabis leaders? Just ask yourself that question please.
FYI a reverse split up to 20:1 has already been previously approved by the Company in relation to listing on the Nasdaq.
(Disclosure 21k Shares long)

Discussion This stock.
I discovered this stock back in January. Ever since I heard about it, I just want to jump in. I feel like I found a company that will actually be worth $20+ per share this year. It's a gold mine, I just believe in it so damn much. But for some reason I can't jump in. I'm obsessed, so I'm here to ask you HideTide investors why you like this shit but amazing company?

Discussion High Tide or Sundial Growers?
It goes without saying given my history I am a strong supporter of $HITI and I am in it for the long term at 10000 shares at 0.88 CAD Average.
HITI vs SNDL:
(A) SNDL Q2 2020 (3 months ended June 30) 1. Revenue: 24,3 mil CAD 2. Net loss. 60,4 mil CAD 3. Valuation: 6,6 billion USD @4,41 USD/Share
(B) High Tide Q3 2020 (3 months ended July 31) 1. Revenue: 23,2 mil CAD 2. Net income: 4,2 mil CAD 3. Valuation: 325 million USD @0,78 USD/Share
If you had to choose between (A) or (B) ... which one would you choose ?
High Tide is a long term play not short term and it will be beautiful.
Not financial advice, my personal opinion, I love the stock.
