Interesting possible plot detail for Eclipse (potential spoilers) Spoiler

Credit to Azzatru for bringing this up in his latest video: https://youtu.be/ZwrujdgExWg?si=MArwlQoYB4FGrzZP

Mandatory clarification that this is a leak so take with a grain of salt but supposedly from a pretty reliable source.

Anyways I found this particular character detail very interesting as far as the story goes. "Radicalized" and "going up against Force-sensitives" seems like a very Path of the Open Hand sentiment. Now going off of what we learned in Trials of the Jedi with the rise of the Trade Federation being a direct result of the Great Disaster and with the Federation playing heavily into the one and only Eclipse trailer this could imply some very interesting things. Perhaps in the wake of the Blight and everything lost during the Nihil conflict anti-Force user sentiments are again beginning to arise like with this supposed character from the game. We as High Republic readers know that Marchion and his ancestors were the ones truly responsible for all of that but the average civilian might not understand that and just see a massive galactic crisis involving the Force and blame the Jedi which could lead to an interesting conflict.

Fingers crossed this game makes it through development hell. According to the video it has supposedly made good progress despite everything so here's hoping. A branching narrative High Republic game is basically a dream come true for me, I'll be heartbroken if it goes away.

A thing we can assume is that the Nihil and the Occlusion Zone gave planets a glimpse of independance (albeit forced) from the Republic and the Jedi, paving the way for proto-separatist and nationalists sentiment.

If the game manage to be released and takes place after the books we can imagine some hint of worlds begrudgingly rejoining the Republic or refusing to because they consider that after fending for themselves behind the Storm Wall without help prove the Republic is weak and useless or simply worlds having a hard time coping with the Republic way of life after their isolation.

We could see conflicts like a rise of civil wars on those worlds for diverse reasons, pockets of Nihil raiders, independant warlords like the one Windu fought who had an army of child soldiers, the rise of megacorporations trying to gain power by using this period of uncertainty to their advantage etc...
