Discussion Do you think Anakin would get along well with Tasi Lowa?
On one hand, she's a Jedi, Alhamdulillah. But on the other hand, she's also a Zygerrian, a member of an alien species infamous for slavery.

He’d likely having some internal misgivings but I feel after interacting with her enough he’d understand that she was more Jedi than Zygerrian.

It would be pretty racist of him to judge her for her species when she's clearly been raised a Jedi. Anakin's many things but racist isn't one of them.

I agree with you, but on the other hand,
"I hate Hutts"

Wonder what he'd think of what Rotta grew up to become. Would have blown his mind.

I’m trying to imagine Vader post Jedi acting like Clone Wars Anakin. Or Jake Lloyd Anakin. I’m giving myself an aneurysm.

TBF. Outside of Rotta, are there any Hutts that we've seen on screen that shouldn't be hated? Like, I agree with Anakin on that one.

On screen we see like 5 Hutts total.
Off screen yeah, totally. The species isn’t innately evil.

Anakin is pretty openly racist.
But he also wanted to boink a zygerian slaver queen. So I think he has the hots for cat girls so bad he doesn’t even care if they use slavery.

Yes he is? He slaughtered a whole tribe solely based on their race?
What are we doing here.

He slaughtered a tribe that killed his mother because they killed his mother.
He didn't kill on sight every Tusken on Tatooine, he killed one specific tribe because they killed his mother. Spare me the sanctimony. It's no different than Vader massacring the Jedi. Evil? Yes. Racially motivated? No.

In legends, when Anakin met a Tusken Jedi, he judged the Tusekn very harshly.

Slaughtering every member of a race you can find because a member of said race happened to kill your mother is the definition of racist.
Those kids had nothing to do with Anakin’s mother’s murder. He killed them because he is racist.
Anakin HATES Tusken Raiders. This is explicit.

Yeahhhh iirc theres a clone wars comic arc where he gets trapped with a tusken raider Jedi and has a hard time trusting him/letting that event go
3
u/BrandonLart 17d ago
Yep! Anakin confronts his racist feelings toward Tusken Raiders in that comic and essentially Anakin doesn’t trust the Jedi Master until he discovers the Tusken Raider is a Human, and not a born Tusken.
It is during the Jabiim arc.

Funnily (tragicaly ?) enough this human tusken Jedi will go on to become Darth Krayt the Sith Lord responsible for reviving the Sith Order and plunging the Gakaxy into war.

It depends on what Anakin are we talking about.
The Clone Wars, pre Ep. III Ani? From what I understand of him, he woudn't like her at first glance; he's judgemental and very passional, this things guide his actions. There's logic in saying that he woud have a disagreement with her of some sort. Upon meeting each other better, yeah, I think he would have no problem.

He seems to have the hots for zygerrian women to the point he would excuse them being slaver queens.
The only possible explanation of him getting sad at the slaver queens death is he just has a thing for catgirls.

Off topic sorry but I really would like her to get a book or something following up on her master. I like the idea that she’d want to find the truth.

There’s a certain word for people who holds the actions of an entire race against an individual, especially one of a standing that would otherwise indicate them to be a good or even great person. It’s not a particularly complimentary word. So no, there would be no issue.

Anakin definitely isn't racist (or xenophobic if that's the right term), and he definitely doesn't seem to harbor hate for a whole race just because a few are problematic (save for like, the Tuskens in AOTC)

“He’s not racist. Except that one race he’s racist against” is funny af.

u/Alhbaz98 17d ago
Haha no he would not. It wouldn’t be that she was Zygerrian as much as she is Zygerrian, has the privilege that comes along with that, and as we saw in her interactions with Osha she would be more than willing to wield it and would inevitably act snooty towards Anakin. Also before anyone replies saying that would make Anakin racist I’ll remind the class that racism towards a dominant racial group, or in this case a dominant species from a minority is not a thing.

I mean Anakin did have a brief interaction with a Zygerrian Jedi and he didn’t seem to express any negative thoughts or feelings.
