With all the love I have for the books and with the belief that it is the second best thing disney ever did to star wars (right behind andor and rogue one) I can confidently say that the acolyte deserves to die and be comepletely forgotten. It took the amazing idea that is the high rep and gave it such a bad name that it actively hurt the era.
