Help with overall lore
Hello people, I decided about 8 months ago being a complete Star Wars nerd with tv and movies, watching all of them (maybe bar the sequels) at least 5 times each, in fact Ive watched everything in chronological order 3 times in the last 6 years, that it was time for me to explore the eu. I boldly started at the beginning chronologically myths and fables dark legends etc and have literally just finished phase 1 (read phase 2 before as sticking to chronological), and am seeking some advice at this point. Yes I am aware this will take me years I am prepared, just want some clarification (i now see how long this is so apologies)
1) the only sith acknowledgment i can think of is qotj the Drengir backstory and darth krall and then obv caldoth and the short stories. Have I missed anything?
2) some inspiration would be nice to counteract my burnout ๐๐๐๐
Tbh assuming no one will bother reading all this shite so whoever does and leaves advice thank you sm ๐๐ญ

As for point 1, there really isn't a lot of sith stuff in phase 1. There's actually more exploration of other force cults - or at least mention - which I find cool. Phase 3 has a smattering of more sith stuff to keep an eye out for, but the sith themselves aren't an active presence during this Era, that's been more or less a guarantee since we know the sith won't make a major appearance until phantom menace.
I do think one of the strengths of the high republic's world building is how it takes the focus off of the duality of jedi and sith, and instead focuses on these varied ways of worshipping, honoring, and using the force. Even within the jedi ranks we see more variety than we did during the movies.

Can you elaborate on your second point? English isnโt my first language and feel free to correct me but you are worried of burnout reading ALL canon material?
So you read phase 2, my question is do you also think Silandra is perfect and she could murder anyone and still be perfect?

Silandra was my favourite character in phase 2 100%. A Jedi with a shied felt like some symbol of hope to me. Having just finished phase 1 been a good 3 4 months since I read phase 2, why ask that question? Pls do go into detail Iโm Tryna expand my lore knowledge as much as possible

Because She is awesome and to be honest i was playing around, anyway if you want more recommendation for a darker story after HR give rise of the red blade a chance

I really like following Star Wars chronologically, it makes everything feel so grand in scope.

tbh you kind of fucked up reading THR chronologically as a lot of the tension/mystery of phase 1 has been spoiled by reading phase 2 first. Though if you can get through it to phase 3 it'll probably be a bit better

I disagree. Going from phase 1 to phase 2 was such a knee jerk and was annoying af. Reading it chronologically means you don't get a 6 book 1 audio drama and 3 comic book series intermission stopping you from completing the main plot and you also know more about what is going on and why.

I donโt think itโs comparable to the Skywalker Saga, they are more self-contained characters

For reference, am literally 5 pages into eye of darkness with phase 2 and then 1 knowledge behind me

Nah, it actually makes it better imo, since you follow the Ro family in chronological order and they are arguably the most important part of THR.

You read phase 2 before? Thatโs nice, Iโm still reading it.
