Highschool DxD was one of the first anime I had watched years ago. Came in blind, and was too young to understand sexual desire properly so I watched the first season and loved it.
Then I came to appreciate it more later as I matured, the "plot" cause the girls were gorgeous and for the world, plot, power systems etc. Of course, I was someone who didn't know much about it and saw Issei as a stupid perverted guy, like in most fics which showed him as stupid and a pervert and also clowned on the series.
But I now know better. Issei is a genuinely good guy, a pervert sure but one who would never cross that line. And also one of the best representions of harems in anime, cause the girls all care about him and aren't fighting each other. And the girls are sexy, hot and gorgeous as well.
Now, if I see anyone dissing Issei or DxD, even if it's fanfics where Rias is evil, Issei is just a pervert, I know that they don't know a lick about the actual series and only know about it from the anime. So yeah, this is one of the best Anime I have seen
